Warrior trait "fast hands" bugged?!

5 sec out of combat first time you swap, then 0
10 sec in combat first time you swap, then 5
My testing has indicated that
- After loading a map, the first in-combat weapon swap produces a 10-second cooldown (should be 5).
- After performing an in-combat weapon swap, the next out-of-combat weapon swap produces a 5-second cooldown (should be 0.5).
- After performing an out-of-combat weapon swap, the next in-combat weapon swap produces a 10-second cooldown (should be 5).
Somebody needs to start (and maintain) a “Warrior – Bugs List” thread. Either here or in the Bugs Board. I’d like to say that I’d stay on top of it if I started it, but I probably can’t.
Bumped to the top – would like ANet to acknowledge this bug – I was hoping they had already but it wasnt in todays patch.
This bug has been present since the betas. I don’t know why it’s taking so long to fix, it’s bloody annoying!
This strikes me as a coding “error” where somebody picked the theoretically elegant solution – subtract 5 – and it ended up being a nightmare, while the theoretically clunkier solution of just brute-force changing the “10” to a “5” would’ve gotten the job done.
Or maybe I don’t know anything about computers at all.
(It’s probably the second one.)
I agree that it’s extremely frustrating. You get a lot of cool stuff for weapon swapping constantly if you go deeper into discipline and sigil your weapons appropriately, and it stinks not to be able to make of use of it during any short overworld fight, or during the first 15-20 seconds of a longer fight where a weapon swap could very well have saved your life.
Yeah.. it actually makes it worse than if you werent to have the trait.. what with the 5 second out of combat cooldown on swaps o_0
the “Sure-footed” trait from the Defense line is also bugged.

For whatever reason, Fast Hands has been bugged since the early days of the public Beta events. We’ve all posted many threads about it, but ArenaNet still hasn’t fixed it yet. While it will hopefully be fixed in the near future, it is currently a worthless trait.

I thought so! Could never prove it though. I’m also pretty sure that the defense trait to automatically cast Endure Pain when dropping below 25% doesn’t work either. Never seen it go off. Also, I think the duration of Endure Pain is lasting much shorter than the 5 seconds it is supposed to last.

I also noticed Endure Pain lasting less last night, will test today and see how it goes.
Will also test Endure Pain @ 25% health… that one used to work, I really hope it wasn’t messed up.
It’s been known since early beta weekends and they haven’t fixed it… I wonder if there is some fundamental problem they can’t work around. Extremely frustrating.
Yes, I agree, I get frustrated every time I see that 10 sec cooldown. Fix this please.
