Warrior update??
Where did you hear about updates? Of all the professions I’d imagine Warriors to be at the bottom of the list. I can understand Thieves, but it seems like Rangers/Necros need it more.
they already announced the updates for Ranger and Engi. It was in the last ready up, the updates for thief and war were supposed to be in the aug 8th one. I jus realized as I typed this that its aug 8th… now/tmrw…. doh

The Ready Up update is supposed to come around 12pm PDT.
One big change to warriors mentioned in the ready up, Adrenaline Skills will use your adrenaline if they miss, and adrenaline starts to go away when you leave combat.

For Warriors, we got:
- Arcing Slice is now an AoE that deals increased damage against enemies with <50% hp
- 100 Blades and Whirlwind Attack damage reduced
- Adrenaline will be spent when you miss a burst skill. Missing won’t proc Cleansing Ire.
- Impale had it’s Torment duration reduced from 12s to 8s
- Mace autoattack 3rd hit got a slight speed boost
- Rifle autoattack changed to not apply bleed and instead deal increased damage against targets with vulnerability
- Banner sprint skill doesn’t attack anymore
- Rousing Resilience had its duration increased
- Signet of Rage had the boons reduced by 5 seconds
- Rampage got some buffs

The ones I can remember:
signet of might: 6s unblockable on active instead of 5 attacks
berserker stance -40% andrenaline (to ~3 bars)
whirlwind attack: -5% dmg
hundred blades: -5% dmg except on last hit
arcing slice: 5 targets, more dmg against <50% health enemies
whirling axe: +17% dmg, 15s recharge
bleeding shot renamed fierce shot: +20% dmg, no bleed, adren gain vs vulnerable target
adrenaline: lost also on miss with burst skill, starts degenerating immediately when leaving combat
rampage→ throw boulder: faster projectile
rampage: shorter incoming snare duration
signet of rage: more adrenaline, 5s shorter boons
impale: 8s torment down from 12s
Axe 5 damage increased by 17%. CD reduced to 15 seconds. (yay)
Currently @ some T1 server in EU
Also:
- Adrenaline drains quickly upon leaving combat, so better to spend it
- Signet of Rage buffs decreased by 5s
- Rampage made stronger/take less damage
- Signet of Might gives 6s of unblockable instead of 5 attacks
- Axe 5 has increased damage and decreased cooldown
- Berserker Stance only gives 3 bars worth of adrenaline vs 5 currently
Ahh, we’re all jumping over each other to share the pain a little.
Axe 5 damage increased by 17%. CD reduced to 15 seconds. (yay)
This change is awesome.
Plus, the new arcing slice is decent now, for pvp/wvw that is.

Arcing Slice is going to be useful, an execute type move that does more damage when targets are below 50% health, and it’s AoE.

Nah, its ok. Its just like any fast hitting multi target attack. There is a time and place for it.

How will you use an offhand 5 axe against a guard with a 90% uptime of retal then ?
one enemy with retal is no biggie. Its when you get many enemies that it really hurts. 24-28k HP – 15 strikes X 350-500 retal damage = 5-9k damage at MAX.
myself i prefer the following rotation: Eviscerate – shield bash – Rage Signet – Flurry – whirling axes – final strike.
In most cases, people die from that.

I’m sorry but in the time you get off a full whirling axe sword autos would already of dealt more damage. You can get off 8 sword auto attacks. Whirling Axes is terrible against single targets. You only see great damage if you are hitting more than 3 people constantly, that is, if you aren’t getting wrecked by retaliation. And it is good for whirling combo fields.

Exactly this..and now you will able to kill yourself faster on retal since offhand 5 having a shorter cd…yet retal being unchanged.anet..its just…They do not have a clue when it comes to balancing skills out,they just don’t.

It can act like the new Chocking gas will do with revealed, if you know what I mean.
it sounds like you will just need to use more cc skills to make sure your not wasting your burst skills and run less stances and maybe use other options to clear conditions
more importantly the change to the banner #4 that remove cripple and chill should it not also remove immobilize. It kinda pointless to remove chill and cripple if your immobilized

the condition reduction is more or less fine just that its almost making the skill have no counterplay
the reduced damage however is it really necessary they already get increased toughness and increased health. large concern here because it essentially could make a zerker warrior a tanky warrior for 20 second with good movement speed

Well said,and imo they would have needed to increase the general dmg output from rampager form.Lich form atm is 3 – 5k each hit with a 30 sec stabi uptime.When a warrior and a nec would 1vs1 and both pop their elite at the same time..Rampager Vs Lich..Who would win? I think the answer is quite kitten obvious.Every skill from rampager is Useless unless youre spamming 1 Vs a Lichform.And then you have the issue of who has more dmg output ? It clearly still is the necro,and that just..does not make any sense at all.

While true, Lich Form also can’t take anywhere near the punishment that Juggernaut can and has nothing close to the same amount of CC.
Yes, Lich vs. Juggernaut fights are in the Necro’s favor, but the elites are intended to do two different things.

i use whirlin axe to build up addren. Incase final strike misses i swap to axe and evis their sorry rear end

i did some calculating and with the extra 25% damage reduction it will be more like plague form
plague form gives
*2 power
*4 toughness
*3 vitality
basically that what rampage will give stat wise
try taking a look at these 3 defensive elite skills tome of courage, plague form, rampage. shouldn’t they all be relatively equal in defensive benefits
Juggernaut is kind of a hybrid skill, though. The damage on it is actually pretty good. Not a full-on offense elite like Lich Form, but pretty good.
