In this update, we have taken a look at a few underperforming weapons for the warrior: rifle and torch. The torch exists as a more aggressive off hand for condition builds, but it currently does not provide enough pressure to warrant taking it. We have increased the burning output on both torch skills to make it a more competitive option.
The rifle lacks in sustained pressure because three of its abilities focused on utility. Because of this, the rifle struggled to kill enemies when Volley and Gun Flame were mitigated. We have increased the damage of Aimed Shot to provide another source of damage to the rifle kit.

Blaze Breaker: The number of burn stacks applied by this skill has been increased from 1 to 2 in PvP only. The cripple duration of this skill has been increased from 2 seconds to 3 seconds in PvP only.

Flames of War: The burning duration applied each pulse has been increased from 1 second to 2 seconds. The number of burn stacks applied by the final explosion have been increased from 2 to 4, in PvP only.

Aimed Shot: The damage of this skill has been increased by 68% in PvP only. The vulnerability applied by this ability has been increased from 5 to 10 stacks in PvP only.

PS. aimed shot received a 48% Dmg boost, not 68%
Also why PVP only?? is it that bad to deal some extra dmg in PVE?

Meh.. i was hoping for some sustain nerfs reverted. lets hope next time!

Anet generally doesn’t revert nerfs. It really takes alot for that to happen.

true, never saw it happen..

i just dont like the massive amount of sustain nerfs at once from the last patch.. some OK.. but some where just not needed..

Don’t Bosses and numerous mobs use interrupts to mitigate damage from Volley and Gun Flame in PvE also? Why the need for two versions of Aimed Shot?

That’s generally the case, but Healing Signet has bounced around over the years. So I guess it’s an example of ambivalence within the balance team about specific nerfs/buffs.

Still hate how they still allow the moves that we’re slowed down not to be effected by quickness.. so they’re still swinging in slow motion.

well,im glad that offhand MACE,SWORD AND AXE is ok. no need to look at that.

Not to mention warhorn, which almost nobody uses. Currently shield is the best off-hand choice.

Most of the heals would still need a buff, as almost everybody takes healing signet and the other options are ignored (year after year).

I am not asking to make warrior all powerful without any weaknesses. Sometimes small things like 20 % cooldown reduction, while not nerfing anything, might do the trick.

They need to give it back its Condi To Boon.
