As my title implies it makes sense, we going into the jungle we need that frontline with butcher knife or machettes, to cleave the plant meat off them mordrem.

Well to be honest i hope we will have new melee weapon :P

They already said they’re not including any new weapon type.

If we get a new weapon the only hope is they somehow making spears usable in land.

2 handed axe would be nice.

There won’t be any new weapon types for this expansion. Will warriors be able to use any other weapons already released? Probably not none of the others make any sense.

Torch, dagger, shortbow, and pistol? It has to be one of those. Warriors can already use a rifle why not pistol? They use longbow so shortbow would be another no brainer. Daggers cause MORE SHARP POINTY OBJECTS!

And torch cause more offhands gogo.

The way I see it, new weapons should have their niche. Warriors already have the axe as a fast hitting burst weapon and sword for fast hits+mobility. Something like torch would be nice for condi builds that rely on LB for burning uptime atm.

Or you can make a Dagger main-hand that is primarily mid range (throwing knives could be a thing and it’s mostly not right now…but throwing axes is apparently a bigger thing?). Eventually they could make dagger off-hand and give it mobility and a strong melee attack to go with it. If they ever make pistol off-hand, make that a mid ranger too so one could choose to go full mid range with that set or a blend of things (and if dagger off-hand had a decent mobility skill, pair that kitten with sword for even more).

Truth is warrior got so many weapon sets its hard to say what would even benefit the class. Possibly a midrange 1 hander? I don’t like idea of pistol mainhand on warrior but perhaps as specialization it could not seem weird?

I do think it’s likely that the new Warrior spec is a “Dragoon” type, which combines rifles/pistols with heavy armor. (Would also explain how Rytlock was previously able to wield sword/pistol as a Warrior.)

They might just give us staff.

The warrior specialization is actually called the “Juggler” and we get dual wield torches.

I’m a big blade fan. I really hope we can get dual daggers.

Maybe we’ll get a scythe with a chain attachment so we can reach out and touch someone. But a spear would be good too.
