Guild Wars 2

I know each class has it’s version of pets/minions/summons, and the warrior’s version of summon is, more or less, banners. But what if they get mobile attacking summons? Banners act like wells wherein it constantly gives a buff to allies in range. In keeping with the theme of the HoT expansion, what if we get draconic allies? If not, maybe wyverns, as seen in the previews, perhaps? Can the next specialization of warriors be Dragoon?

I think it would make more sense to use other physical weapons from other classes, like pistols, daggers, and shortbows.

Warriors, in general, don’t really have any magic to them, and they’re mainly meat heads. Having perks like an Engineer’s tinkering, or a Ranger’s animal atonement doesn’t make sense, either. They’re one pile of brute force built for destruction (well, most of them) with their perks being pointing to something to kill, and going for it like Leeroy.

I guess, if anything, assassin features would be better suited to the Warrior since they revolve around destruction, perhaps even shadow stepping.

So warriors stole the dragon egg ?

Nah hope not, warrior needs no pets, and since warr is not a magic user profession i think we might get one of the followings… Tricks, Elixirs, Gadgets, Weapon kits or Survival skills.

Maybe we get to summon mercenaries, just like thieves get to summon more thieves with their elite skill “thieves guild”.

I would imagine something like a mercenary captain as our class with the ability to wield pistols and skills that summon different types of mercenaries, like medics, melee mercenaries and mercenaries that attack with ranged weapons, the elite skill might be a whole squad at once.

I think this would fit the warriors image pretty well, however, I do not think we will get something like this.

Warriors are getting Elder Wolves as pets and another utility shout called “I Will Avenge You!” It’s gonna be the new meta.

I’m still guessing off hand dagger, utilities though are a puzzle. Traps do NOT fit guardian at all. So maybe warrior really will end up with a pet. Then again anet knows that will blow up forums with qq so I dunno. With the dagger in mind though if it is dagger maybe some thief type skills? But then again warrior and stealth do not mix one bit. Maybe a kit

If it is a dagger I would assume poisons maybe. Yeah I know its not warriorish but you kinda won’t be a warrior anymore, you will be the Elite Spec

Every class has summomables, spirits,minions,elementals,illusions,spirit weapons,turrets,thieves and war has banners.

No idea what to expect, really.

One thing could be martial arts specialist like some asian fighter, so double-dagger could make sense. utilities then would be meditations or even (self-buffing / aoe supporting) mantras.

maybe warri gets off-hand pistol and gets a pirate theme going for him. Then tricks could be a thing.

Or they go all out on the jungle-theme and add shortbow and venoms. Or they turn the specialization into something like a tribe-warrior that has focus (like the talismans that native tribes use) and gets survival skills as utility.

I mean, every other profession we’ve heard stuff about.

ele most likely gets sword
the rest is already revealed and about revenant we can only guess.

warrior on the other hand has not the slightest info getting leaked about. and the remaining weapon-pool is very small since one of warris strengths is its access to most weapon-types.
So either a-net has planned something big that they want to keep hidden under any circumstances until they reveal it, or they themselves have no idea yet.

Well one thing that has come out is that we seem to be getting an F2, and since we’ve been asking for an off-hand burst forever that’s probably what a F2 is going to be if they didn’t scratch it. It has been hinted by the devs that we’re getting “another way to spend adrenaline” so I’m pretty sure it’s that off-hand burst people have been asking for a long time.

So you can suppose that we’re getting an off-hand weapon to go with it, and probably an off-hand only weapon since giving us off-hand pistol or dagger without the main hand would be a little odd.

They could give both a main-hand and an off-hand but I don’t think they’ll give 5 new weapon skills to to the class that already has access to the greatest number of weapons when mesmer only got an off-hand, so I really think we’re only getting an off-hand, and that removes pistol and dagger from the list.

Of the remaining weapon candidates, the most likely one seems to be torch. Unless revenants use the torch that would match us with either mesmer or guardian. So I guess our new skills could be mantras, meditations, conjures (yuck) and so on.

Scepter or Torch OH, so we can run HamStorm.

I vote dagger and venoms. Dual daggers would be awesome, too! dreams of warriors with dual incinerators

I LIKE being the only profession that doesn’t rely on AI, I take it as a compliment. Bring your clones, turrets, pets, minions I’ll take them all down.

Survival skills for commando
Pistol (pirate?)
Dagger for assassination (could use poison)/ swashbuckler
Staff for Warmage (aoe/ field control/ buffs/, or a static siegelike weapon? Could happen).
I don’t think about spirits, since war already got banners for that.
Shortbow could be something, but I think it would be redundant. Still, some more hunting or rambo oriented playstyle could work.

We’ve seen so many cavaleries and break bars in the beta and there should be a class with a break bar. I think the warrior gets a mount and with the mount he gets the break bar. Maybe as elite skill or as class mechanic, don’t know.
