Warriors and Guardians armor
Huh? I dont even… My head hurts.
No one would want to wear lighter armor because of lower defence. As for looks, you are going to have to be more specific on what you DO want. More cloth? Try HotW.
Please calm down not everybody plays for what is good for the class. I play for fun and I want to be happy with the character i have and wearing diferent sets would be optional. You don´t have to wear it if you don´t want.
I’m just confused about what you do want. There are plenty of sets out there that don’t look very ‘paladin’ to me, but you might think paladin looks like something completely different. I have idea what you mean about general though. But I just can’t see a big movement to allow classes to wear other types of armor when they offer no benefit.
Well paladin/knight is for me heavy type of armor. By me only difference is the deffence and stats are the same so why not do it when it would be optional?
I think what he is really asking is why can’t warriors or guardians (or any class for that matter) have the look of say a medium or a light armour class. At the moment you can’t skin medium/light armour on top of heavy armour for the look.
And for that I don’t really have an answer to.
I would love to change armor.I other games i played heavy armor classes could wear all from light to heavy. In AoC for example a heavy class could go even for cloth being the lowest in the armor chain( cloth, light, medium, heavy, plate) and you could get some really nice bonuses from it in exchange for being much squishier. That would be such an awesome ideea for gw2 to allow such things by tweaking some stats on various armor types. For exampke link more aurvavibilitity anf vitality to heavier armor and more attack, power on lighter ones instead of having base hp only linked to class.
i would really love to equip my warrior with Seer light armor skin
Would be cool if we could just transmute any skin on the armor we can wear. That make a lot of interesting and cool combinations.
It’s done to help notify players of type of class that is coming up to the them to attack. More so in PvP then PvE. Granted you still have to identify which class that is coming but still.
Armor type is a large identifier in PvP.
When it comes to looks, they could just make stats worse when wearing something not meant for your class. Say 20-50% stat decrease on the leggings for a warrior if those leggings are light/medium, as an example.
This might seem like a useless and dumb idea for those who want optimal performance, but for peeps that likes look > stats or people who love silly challenges like running around naked, would love this.
Also, this should be done to town clothes.
I don’t know too. In GW1 there were a few armors designed as that but here there are less. Chainmail, scales and plate are the fashion leaders 250 years later and leather came with Factions if I remember well. But I love the Phalanx armor, it has a nice touch and balance on leather and plate parts, I like that. And I like Braham’s armor too, only reasons I haven’t bought it is the leggings( I don’t like that short look alike pants) and I’m waiting if Anet gives an armor in the next patches.
