OKAY. Wait, they told me. The balance patch is coming out, they said. So I waited. SO this “balance patch,” which seems more like bug fixes and more “visual-noise” nonsense, comes out, and warriors aren’t even touched? They aren’t even mentioned. You can ctrl+f and search warrior on that post and find nothing…..

If you guys are working on some big rework or some big warrior patch, can you please get the word out? I’m really starting to lose faith. I was so excited for today and to just not even have them mentioned, not even a note that says “we’re working on it,” I don’t know what to say even… My heart ;(

Yeah, this was another big disappointment. It makes sense though that they wouldn’t do anything to balance with the new PvP season starting up. Although it really bites knowing that Warrior is going to have to suffer in this crippled state for the entire season.

I just wish they would be up front about it. Just TELL ME if you aren’t planning to change anything and I can quit the kitten game until the season is over.

Same here. They’ve been sending so many mixed messages that anyone would have reasonably expected a balance patch today.

If you guys thought they were going to buff warriors in the middle of the pro season, you’re wrong. Sorry. The fact that there is absolutely nothing for warriors this patch (12/1/15) means that they are most likely overhauling and reworking the warrior so just be patient.
We don’t want the meta to be worse than it is. There are so many suggestions on how to balance warrior it will be important to do it right this time since they didn’t during the release of HoT. Warriors are relatively balanced and still important in PvE and I guarantee that that is why it’s taking so long.

It’s the fact they don’t even acknowledge it….and every patch there’s more fixes and buffs for other classes and NOTHING for warrior. I get it, but at least admit that you broke the class….cmon. They might as well nerf warriors each patch at this point! At least that way they show/admit that the class is becoming less and less powerful ‘each patch’/‘each day’ that passes.

Y’know, this is why I’m tired of PvP influencing my PvE experience. I can’t get a decent balance patch for a languishing, outdated class.

Indeed. It’s really hard to believe this is the same ArenaNet that brought us GW1. Total baldfaced lies, and then they just ignore the feedback until it dies down again.

Have you anything that will prove what you are saying? Because, all we want to hear is some “we’re working on it” or “we’re not, we think it’s working as intented” or some “incoming changes on warrior” … I don’t know.. maybe some communication?

It’s really sad to constate after 3y, there’s like 3% changes to the Warrior maybe? I’m talking as a main warrior who’s done a big pause. It was even worse for me, they killed my pref build with leg specialist, now I’m forced to play shout/condi for it… Anyway Warrior hasn’t changed in 3 year. Still healing signet, still same utilities etc.
0 weapon skills changed. No real elite spec (look at this F2… it isn’t even one, it just mutates your F1 into a inferior one).

You gonna say, hey Warrior isn’t the meta for a long time, give the other classes one chance to be meta etc… I’ll answer you that I don’t give a kitten, I haven’t played for a long time, how does it affect me your previous gaming exp? How is it even an argument? … How is it a solution lol?

They created a new heavy armor class and buffed really hard the other one with heavy buffs… all of those giving new gameplays. Guardian even got a PULL …. seriously? How’s that Warrior isn’t permitted to get one?

How’s that the just the revenant herald healing skill is an … huge improved and mixed version of Healing Signet+Defiant Stance?

I’m just scared their idea of "buffs’ will be more damage. Please god, no more damage buffs. Buff my passive survivability. Give me regen and protection at all times like the other classes. Please ANET don’t kitten this up…

For years rangers and necro’s were kicked from every PvE party, never used in tournaments and the one time ranger and necro saw the light of day was as home defenders with petting zoo’s.
It was a terrible time that one would have hoped wouldn’t be repeated. Turns out history does repeat itself. However, as long as 7 out of 9 are happy, anet will be considering this a success.

so true! warrior is at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to wvw and pvp.
i feel like thief is the second dislike class atm, but thats my opinion

I alrdy put up with that though and that was the reason I CHOSE warrior for gw2! When I played Gw1 I played ranger and got booted constantly from every kind of party. The class was a joke compared to warriors, who were always useful in every party. That’s why I chose warrior for gw2. Now I’m suddenly screwed again? COOOL. How do you mess up such a basic class though….it’s just ridiculous. In any game warriors serve as the backbone of all the other professions.

Mentality for normal games: You have the melee class (warrior) and then you make other classes that do stuff the warrior can’t. You never make the warrior useless though since u then make melee weapons useless. It’s pretty basic at its core. Melee, ranged, support, crowd control…..those should be the 4 main groups. And right now Guardian (who used to be pseudo melee/support) is doing a better job at melee than warriors are and filling the roles of all 4 of those groups!

“7-9 professions are balanced” isn’t a good enough excuse to just do absolutely nothing.

I dunno…. Feels like talking about it won’t get us anywhere cause ANet doesn’t care at all. I spend most of my free time in queue trying to theorycraft a build that MIGHT somehow be viable.. Feels like a complete waste of time.. But I’m not just going to give up. They want me to delete my warrior to make room for my rev, the real warrior subclass. kitten that. I’m still going to keep working on it.
