Warriors key features
Stances: Great for roaming builds(solo/small groups), they are selfish, but make a Warrior the OP lil kitten it is now.
Banners: Not so great for WvW, not sure how they are in sPvP, but are the greatest support a Warrior can bring in dungeons. Party wide 180 strenght, precision, condition dmg and 15% crit dmg is alot of extra dmg. Also, Cooldown will only be 30s, just remember to pick it up after a fight.
Shouts: Every warrior in dungeons should bring “For Great Justice!”(unless you bring a 30 Fire ele, but IMO you should only put 25 in fire :p). If you run WvW with a guild in a brainless PVT train, run “For Great Justice” and “Shake It Off” with Healing Shouts, run Soldier Runes PVT with some knights, zerk and cavalier. Laugh with the people that try to down you.
Now
Signets
No, not the 5sig YOLO Warriors
Signets are actually really good.
Just dont go Full kitten
Never go Full kitten
Healing Signet: Do I even have to explain?
Dolyak Signet: Good for WvW builds or Trash runs in Arah
Signet of Fury: This one is always on my bar for PvE, this will bring you to 100% cc in full zerk armor, fury, 25 prec stacks and banner of dis.
Signet of Might: Bring it when other Warriors alrdy have banner of dis/strenght
Signet of Stamina: usefull in some situations that require alot of dodges. I use it for Mai Trin, cause I’m a baddie.
Signet of Rage: Well, yeah…
Shouts are good for PvE
Stances are good for PvP
Banners are good for PvE dungeons. That being said, I really wish they would add banners to the users back, even if it means them boosting stats less. Having to haul them around, or people running off with them is extremely off-putting.
Warriors are about the only class with multiple available builds that can be made to work well without major sacrifices. Banners look poor only because warriors are not relegated to point defense like many other classes with restrictive builds. Sure, most players seek out optimal builds for PvP, but it doesn’t mean the other builds and utilities are not viable.
I see why some of you might like the shouts,
but the stances are very situational, and compared
to their cooldown I find them too useless,
comparing up-time with what they do, adding
what I actually need as well.
My largest problem is actually getting to hit
the enemy with melee weapons.
Where I actually do like the ‘tremor’ skill with
mace 2nd hand, I just don’t like how it’s executed
it shouldn’t be towards enemy target, but facing
direction.
We don’t really have anything to improve hitting,
making me wish for a spear …long melee combat range ftw :-)
…sorry got a little off topic there, but I think it’s good to let
you know a little about why I find the skills useless.
Physical skills ?
Physical skills ?
Yeah… but according to wiki(yes I know it’s not 100% correct at all times),
it’s not a key feature. I do see why they might not be counted as such, as none
of the physical skills kan be used underwater, where stances, banners and shouts can.
