Where would you like warrior to have pull skill? Weapons? Utilities?

I was thinking about warrior longbow fifth skill to have first root and then if re-activated it would pull your foe to you. Wouldn’t that be nice? It’s like an arrow with a robe attached and then the character would pull the enemy to him.

Why am I talking about this? Well I like WvW and play a mesmer there. Warrior isn’t really as nice to play there obviously. When I go to JP as a warrior I get pulled with mesmer, engi, thief, necro and such classes, and as I fall from the cliffs I die and I can’t do anything else than have stability stance.
The pulls are big thing atleast to me in WvW. When we are attacking castles/keeps I keep pulling enemy from walls, rooting and killing them easily with a mesmer. Also a thief and necro can do that. it’s very useful. So I’m asking to give every class, which are lacking the pull skill, the pull skill.

Why am I writing this to warrior section? The idea to give everyone who lacks the skill to pull to give it to them came from WvW experience with warrior and mesmer. The idea for the warrior pull skill is what I wanted to share was the reason I came here to the dark side of the internet to ask if you support it.

Or… we could just fix the skills that make us go to them.
Then we can be actual warriors that run up to the enemy and bash the crap out of them

Eh, seriously though? I don’t want a pull. I want my gap closers to work properly and the sustain to stay there for more than a few seconds once I get there.

I agree on the subject though, even if like mentioned before I would like our get on target skills to work better, along with out other skills to be actually able to hit without surgical precision.

But srsly Warriors are up front fighters, we go to the enemy regardless of their support, not yanking them away from their team like a cowardly Mesmer. It doesn’t fit. I agree just fix our “go to them” skills and we will be A-okay.

Throw Bolas should be changed.

First is a immobilize, then it is chained to a pull.

I’d rather have the satisfaction of watching it tie their legs together as they faceplant the ground (1sec knockdown then regular immobilise.)

Seconded, people are usually moving anyhow. But keep it 5.5 seconds immobilise (at least that’s what my tooltip says) people are so worried about making us OP.. we are UP, VERY UP, we need every edge we can get.

I think the Warrior would be better suited to have more CC and in-combat mobility than pulls. Considering the Warrior is supposed to be the savage fighter class I feel it makes more sense for you to be unable to shake the Warrior off of you than be yanked around by him.

It is on a 4 second base(and the longest immob in the game). If you got a 40% bonus to condition duration(e.g. 30 pt arms and a set of lyssa runes) then that makes 5.5 sec tho.

Well I do agree it would be cool if bola skill could pull. My point is: you cannot close cap with those standing on walls, cliffs and other such places. Or you can but you need to break door or run long way to get there.

Warriors are ment to go catch someone? Give us a hulk jump to jump on wall then!

What about D3 barbarian able to use scorpion wire type pull. I liked it and would like to see it on warrior. Except it should be a little different as thief already got it.

Get over here shout isn’t really possible as it is owned by mortal combat :P

We are Warriors. Bullrushing is, what we do.

Why bring them to us, if we can move us to them?

How do you bullrush to the wall if the gate is up? or how do you bullrush up a cliff wall? How do you bullrush someone down from a place like wall or a cliff? How god kitten it!?

Make it so you can control where you’re moving so you can rush in and the first person you hit gets stuck to you like a fly on a windshield, you can make a U-Turn and pull them with you back to your team. This would make Bulls Charge super OP possibly but the fun factor would be amazing.

-applies every condition in the game for 5 seconds

-deals self venerability
-knockback 50 range
-200 range on pull distance
-roots
-2 second cast time

The advantage of not having a pull skill is not having to experience an “obstructed” or “out of range” message when they easily withing 600 range units. You also will not have to experience the pull not actually pulling people due to some little rumple in the terrain, or having it glitch out and not display the position of the pulled character correctly, causing you to waste attacks.

The other advantage is not having threads pop up about how the memser pull is better than the other pulls when it comes to ledges.

Actually, make this a physical utility. A spear on a chain, like the thief’s Scorpion Wire (lol that name).

Or, as other people have said, fix our rushing skills. Considering how many of our stronger attacks are self-rooting (100b, Sword F1, and Rifle F1), without convenient invulnerability like the Mesmer’s Sword 2, we need to have our mobility fixed so we’re not so kitten crippled in combat. It’s hard enough to stay alive. This crap makes it hard to kill, too.

the variant “stop hitting yourself!” using the carried opponent as an improtu hammer would be worthy of an elite shout

the more i think about it the more awesome your idea becomes:
Physical utility “Meatshield” siezes an opponent, for 4 seconds any effect or damage applied to the warrior applies to the opponent as well. roots in place or cripples self for the duration.

This should be an AoE pull within 600. It should be more of a knockdown in the direction of the player. Warrior jumps into combat, uses Get Over Here!, enemies are pulled slightly towards the target and are knocked down for 1-2s

THIS would be worth using. I love the kick, stomp, and bull’s charge for the sole purpose of showing my physical prowess. the immobilize is nice, but KD would be more enjoyable…as long as they bring back something like the “stonefist insignia” to increase the knockdown via traits (strength would seem reasonable) to resist kiting/running. i wouldnt see that as OP either bc dodges, blocks, and teleport skills are highly employed in WvW (as they should be) to prevent a melee from inflicting high damage.
