Hi,

What can you do with a LB in PvE or WvW? Can you solo supply camps? Upgraded supply camps? Roam? Gear wise Pre/Cond/?

If you have a link to a solid guide would appreciate that too!

PVE wise (I run mostly fractals, lvl 28 now) Full Adrenaline LB Burst → LB 3 → Traited Warhorn 5 = 2 Blast Finishers on a Fire Field, 6 stacks of might 20s, great for buffing everyone assuming they are w/in range. Damage aint too shabby either =). For wvw, LB is more of a situational weap. LB Burst on cannon and oil users. Definitely worthy of a slot in your inventory but not as part of your setup

I backpack swap a longbow for WvW. You’ll never kill an individual with it in a 1v1 or 2v2. But in a zerg vs zerg, its our only real source of ranged AOE.

I tried a hilarious self-made build once, with 30 discipline, TWO longbows (for adrenal swap and sigil swaps), signet of fury, and zerker stance. Basically I was spamming my Adrenaline skill nonstop, trying to tag everything in sight.

I got a lot of WvW loot bags that day.

You can definitely kill someone with a longbow (and another weapon set obviously). Pin down+arcing arrow is nasty damage.

You can solo camps very easily with a longbow as well (my main weapon sets are sword/shield+hammer, so I swap the hammer with a longbow and pull the scouts before I take the camp).

From what I understand longbow much like the sword scales better with direct damage based gear than condition based gear.
