As a Warrior that loves to run dungeons, here’s this tip: Bring a Ranged weapon! Rifle, Longbow— whatever! If you can do constant DPS from a distance on encounters that favor ranged combat, then do it!

Also, bring a few utility skills to help your party. Shouts and Banners are great to use, whereas a full signets load-out might make me thing you’re running some kind of glass build.

I personally use Mending as my default healing spell if I’m expected to deal with mobs that spam conditions. However, for areas where conditions are minimal, or if partied with someone that can remove your conditions, then Healing Signet would help quite a bit as well.

My current setup is Rifle / Sword+Horn (Horn gives all group Swiftness)

Utility:

Healing Signet
Throw Bolas
I play Rifle Warrior with:

“For Great Justice!”
Signet of Stamina (36sec CD Condition Removal)

Pick up Leg Specialist (Immobilize on cripple)
Mending
“Shake it Off!”
“For Great Justice!”
“Fear Me!”
Battle Standard

Grab shouts that heal, grab some Cleric PvE Gear (Power/Toughness/Healing)
Rune of the Soldier x6

Your shouts will heal for the ballpark of ~2k each with two of them on relatively short CDs with the trait. All of them will remove a condition while one removes two.

You will also be extremely sturdy compared to all the greatsword heroes dying every pull because they have less toughness than your Elementalist.

I run something similar – swapping, “Fear Me” for “On my Mark”. For dungeons I find it adds a nice damage boost for the targeted mob and with only a 20s cooldown it can be spammed more for the heals and condition removal from Sigil of the Solider.

Elite banner.

I go deep into vit talents to pick up banner raidus/cd buff, shout cd buff, and shouts heal. This gives you 3 pretty spammable aoe heals. I go deep into toughness (lots of good revive stuff here, as well as auto endure pain if you go all the way.

Call me when this game gets fixed…. if it ever does….

I run Mace/Mace Axe/Shield and have Superior Sigils of Leeching on all 4.

I trait spec 15 points into Tactics for the reduced weapon swap timer and swap on CD for addition heals in the form of life steal.

So 2 swaps heal me, 3 Utilities that group heal, and mending for condition removal and healing.

2 X Maces and Shield for CC.

My DPS is pitiful but hey… I can heal 6 times if need be. I’m also able to take a lot of punishment.

Yikes, I hope you didn’t buy those sigils of leeching (they were 1g a piece last I checked) because they don’t work like that. Swap sigils seem to have a cooldown so only one of those is going to work in a 10s window.

Shake it Off (clear a condition on yourself & group member(s)), Endure Pain for the oshi moments, and lately been using For Great Justice.

I usually use Signet of Rage for my Elite.

Specced into GS at the moment, but have been contemplating axe/axe

Does the auto-“Endure Pain” trait share the same cooldown as the original skill?

So, is it worth it to slot for Endure Pain if you use that trait, or is it kinda “one or the other, the auto-use trait lets you slot another utility skill instead”

Neither last stand nor the shake it off skills use up the actual utility when they fire. So essentially you can use them twice. I am not sure if they will automatically fire if the ability is already on cooldown. However the really cool side note is that you do NOT need to have them on your utility bar for the skills to trigger them.

It was tested in Beta. The traits are on seperate CD to the utility skills but they auto trigger, even if the utility is active. For this reason if you have both the utility slotted and the auto trait, it is best to wait till the trait triggers and is over before you use the actual skill.

If you use the utility, and then the conditions for the auto trigger trait are met, some of the time will be wasted.

i.e: you are at 30% health, you use ignore pain that is on your utility bar. 2 seconds later, the bleeds/poison/burning etc you had that ignore the immunity take you to 24%. Your trait now triggers ignore pain, resulting in 3 seconds of wasted damage imunity. Where as if you had waited till your trait had triggered and finished, then used the utility, you would have had 10 seconds of immunity.

This is posted with the disclaimer that I could be wrong, this is how it was said that it worked in beta. Since then it may or may not have changed.

I use warhorn with the trait in the Tactics tree. The additional condition removal keeps enemies that rely on long-duration bleed/poison/burn from killing your team.

Thank you! My initial reaction was “Eww def and hp for dual axing…” and then I took a moment, realized this ISN’T a traditional mmorpg like wow and decided to give it a try and my GOD! I can solo so easy now, I can pull whole packs without even going below 60% hp. Haven’t had time to use it in dungeons yet but I’m sure I’ll love the extra survivability. Again, thanks!

In PvE i’ll run with mostly: Frenzy, Endure the Pain, Dolyak Signet

In Dungeons i swap depending on where i’am for example:

CoF: Endure The Pain (Self-help skill), Dolyak Signet/Precision Banner [This happens if i have a guardian to take the hits from the mobs] (Self-Help/Group buff), Kick (CC at bosses)

TA: Endure The Pain (same as above), Shake It Off (Lots of conditions in there), Kick (Same as above)

Tbf i’ll go with different setup of utilites for every dungeon, depending always on what the mobs and bosses do and how my group is setted up.
