Theres not any tricks. Unlike some other professions, there are not any real hax to warrior play and anytime there is it gets fix and nerfed promptly.

Warrior is very strait forward and transparent in how the class operated the only combo field we have is a fire field. we have a few blast finishers we have some leap finishers, and we have some whirl finishers but I have yet to see someone come up with any kind of build that makes the single fire field we have and whatever finishers we have worth doing outside of a novelty thing of just doing it because you can thing there is little point when there are easyer and other more useful alternatives.

The ones im using is more a practise than a trick, but you can do chain cc with hammer –
earthshaker > fierce blow > backbreaker > 1 auto > staggering blow – if traided properly you can do over 11k combo on heavy armor, but you need to chain in perfectly and hope enemy wont use stunbreakers.

Another fun combo is to add bulls charged and stomp at the end of the combo (sometimes i use axe + mace), use mace 5 for another knockdown and eviscerate. Its really fun to kill thiefs in 1 go if your survive their burst. (keep in mind that stomp and staggering blow knocks target away, you need to react to which direction).

Another fun thing with stomp you can kick thief of his shadow refuge circle. it has same radius.

Maybe not a trick but personal preference – you dont really need stability. Sometimes its better/faster to kill downed target. People dont expect that, and if you are using gs for example, you can kill it faster than dealing with things like mesmers and thiefs in their downed state

Using lb – use 4 skill to blind downed target if they dont auto and save interupt for your

You can stack bolas with lb 5 and follow up with gs 5 into 100b + spin, insane damage if traited into pure damage

If you go signet build – you can skip cleansing ire. Pick signet of stamina and lyssa runes if you are having troubles with condis

Mobile strike traits is very good, so many times survived when enemy thinks you are about to eat their damage and you just spin/jump out. You can save yourself for example with eviscerate. remove target and jump out saving adrenaline ( helps when blinded)

I have no clue about blast combos, rolling alone not relying on others

Good tips. I’ve used LB-combustive + arcing, then wep swap to axe + hit signet of fury + eviscerate in fire field in the direction of opponent to gain a fire shield to nice effect. Also, if timed right, Death from Above trait will give some shields and other nice blast finishers depending on the field used (from my experience, usually chaos armor from mesmers).

So warrior tricks are in fact skill and trait tooltips?

Here some tricks.

- If you want might just before a boss fight and you have someone in your group for a fire field (don’t use longbow for fire field), you can drop a banner then grab it and plant it on the ground again for 2 blast finisher and 6 stack of might).
- If you use Axe/Mace and GS. Use axe auto-attack and right before switch weapons use skill 4 and 2 to put vulnerability, then switch to GS for your hundred blades. That way you put your max vulnerability just before your best burst.
- GS skill 3 allow you to evade an attack. Time it well to evade without decreasing your DPS and even better if you can do it on a wall.
- Other than that, its the same as every profession. Learn to play with the less defense possible (to max DPS) and learn your best skill rotation (depend on your build).

May be that you get total immunity to everything with unbeatable health regen

The best tip I found was binding the “stow weapon” key to somewhere quick and easy to access. When fighting and you can cancel big burst skills before they launch and not waste a CD when your opponent is dodging or blocking or blinding or blinking.

There are like 5 minimum build to a warrior, i played alot of games in spvp using pure power 0 stances not taking ire. Alot of things works if you think outside the box

I too found that rebinding with a warrior is a must. Personally i use weapon swap on mouse and burst skill on space, because you dont have time for long finger reaches with a warrior, gotta be quick

Yea apparently he ignored Warlord saying that there are no tricks for warrior because it’s straight-forward ez-mode and decided to focus on your contribution.

Obviously, it’s not a build you’re going to run with in all situations, but it sounds like fun being nigh-unkillable camping a capture point.

Not every build or tip needs to be pro dungeon raider or WvW approved or PvP meta. The more fun, variety, goofy, unique, and experimental the happier I am. Variety keeps things fresh. Sure I’ll have my gear/build for serious content, but I wanna goof off too sometimes.

• Building momentum is one of the most overlooked minors in the game, and borderline OP with longbow – use it thoughtfully.
• Cancel sword flurry (stow weapon) to land big attacks (100b, final thrust, hammer cc)
• Sword 2 can cross several key gaps in spvp, great for juking/disengaging: Ledge->mid point in Khylo, the holes near serenity in temple, in between ledges at keep, etc.
• Maximize GS #3 hits on a target by spinning into a wall or other object. Also works good on targets running away from you for an extra hit.

Maybe just in general too: warrior is one of the most capable stun jugglers. There’s many combinations possible when using weapon swaps. Most people know the meta juggles (like hammer only), but think about your own juggles and how to fit damage abilities in between stuns, a lot is possible. A personal favorite is mace #5 → axe eviscerate → wpn swap → shield #4 → sword #3.

Theifs just example can withdraw forward instead of backwards by keybinding about face and while running forward press about face then withdraw then about face in one smooth motion. Eles can do dragons tooth or metor shower than transform into a tornado to get big damage. Stuff like that. Theifs if the turn thier camera so it looks down on the character cab do heartseeker but only travel half the distance heartseeker normally does thats how they they combo field stealth the good ones at least. All the stuff that you guys think are tips and tricks would not be considered tricks for other professions they are normal things.

Why? because beside for one trait, and one skill, every skill and trait a warrior has does exactly what it says it does.

When you look at a warrior skill or trait description there is no mystery. There are no bugged way of playing or warrior hax that other professions have. There were some but there currently in none. The last one we had was the sword block bug that was fixed.

The only skill that doesn’t do what it says it does is Flurry. It doesnt not hit 8 times.

The only Trait that doesn’t do what it says it does is burning arrows, instead of increasing longbow damage it reduces damage and it and it makes all LB skills become 100% projectile finishers.

The skill canceling that someone suggested on flurry to land hundred blades with stow weapon is would be considered a trick. Whirlwind into a wall that is decent as well as it obviously isn’t intended to work that way.

The only other things I can possibly think of are things that no one would think of if you combine leg specialist trait with Oppertunist when ever use a skill that cripples you get furry. So throwing Axe 3 or Throwing GS 3 gives you fury. Why anyone would want to do that whne you have Signet of rage and for great justice I dont know but its there cuz its not obvious those weapon skills would give fury.

Combining vigorous shouts with shrug it off trait gives you a passive heal whenever you have more than one condition on you that heals you automatically.

Vengeance doesn’t always kill you without sweet revenge trait you have like a 10% chance to live if you rally.

Blademaster trait is bugged you get the 10% crit chance it doesn’t show on stats same with heightened focus you get the bonus but its bugged.

Yea some of the things posted here maybe tips but they certainly are not tricks in the sense of tricking the game to do somthing its not supposed to.,

Warlord I agree with you none of these are tricks but he did asked for tips too, I hate using exploits as well. It always sad that when I see a player uses exploit he will be high rank, it’s like have some dignity, if u can’t win without cheating then your rank means nothing.
Anyway some other TIP:
You wanted to do a shield bash + evis combo but shield bash got dodged?
eviscerate anyhow!
very few ppl will dodge twice in a row, or they only had 1 dodge, so your eviscerate will connect.

A tip and a fun thing to do with hammer. When running away from a fight, bind a key to look behind you. You can use earthshaker like this for a surprise stun that almost nobody anticipates.

also, use about face, then hammer 3 then about face again to cripple pursuers. You can do the same thing with hammer 5, charge it, last second about face and boom. More obvious then the earthshaker trick though.
