What do you all want in new skills?
Could add more shouts.
Shield’s Up! Grant 5 seconds of Protection and 2 seconds of projectile absorption to nearby allies. 40 second cool down
To The Limit! Your next adrenal skill uses no adrenaline and does 10% more damage. 30 second cool down.
More stances.
Warrior’s Endurance: Gain Vigor, and Regeneration and Protection for 4 seconds. Gain 200 health each time you hit a foe. 60 second cool down
Warrior’s Cunning: Your skills are unblockable for 5 seconds. 30 second cool down
Grog, i kinda like your ideas, but in no way should a warrior have protection on top of being the class with the highest health pool and base toughness. Warrior’s Endurance would simply be op even on a 60 sec cd. would the healing scale? or would it just give a flat bonus? I could see something along the lines of that as an Elite Skill/stance, but if you get low on health, you could just use whirling axe in a huge mob and instantly be at full hp all because you hit like 15+ enemies multiple times…
I like To the Limit, but it’s too similar to Burst Mastery. Warrior’s cunning is pretty much the same as Signet of Might.
P.s. I like your enthusiasm for GW1 skills…but there’s just no way that would happen to incorporate some of them into GW2… :/
I have some ideas I’ve been contemplating for quite awhile. This is actually my first post so bear with me.
What if:
Sword Power/Critical Damage changes: Through the use of traits or something, make this a bit stronger in the damage category? It probably won’t and shouldn’t compete with Axe DPS, and I suppose it’s in the same place it was in GW1 being nice and balanced, but I’d like it if wasn’t just looked at as a condi or mobility weapon even though admittedly the mobility is strong, and so is the burst. Final Thrust was a step in the right direction, and I’m very happy with the skill as is.
Greatsword Burst(F1): Knockdown for 1/1.5/2 seconds, can still give fury. I can find a use for it in PvE but that’s about it, lets me stack fury like nobody’s business. I’ll be honest, I thought about mobile Hundred Blades and that’s just scary. I know you’d have to tone down the damage or make it expensive but that’s seriously just scary. That’s Fiery Greatsword whirl against the wall being controlled and that move hits like a truck against the wall.
Rush (GS 5): Replace with Bull’s Charge with a decent cooldown, make rush do something else as a utility or something. As long as you’re not trying to hit something that’s moving, Rush is pretty nice. The thing is though, I feel that all the other weapons have something worked into them to make what they’re good for happen.
For example: Mace burst and interrupts let you catch the opponent and land Weakness on them with the incredibly slow mace chain, and you’re in a good position there. Sword leap lets you land the burst for condi damage or immobile. Even Axe, stack vulnerability, gain adrenaline quickly, lead into strong Eviscerate. Hammer is awesome, nuff said. Greatsword is heavy damage you won’t land unless you rely on a utility or another weapon’s burst, mobility and an extra dodge (that is very nice+mobile, so okay). All the other weapons seem to be self-dependent and still pretty effective and fundamentally functional by themselves. I believe a Warrior’s strength comes from it’s ability to weapon swap much faster and use the two in conjunction which yes, would contradict what I said about GS, but it would really make the class stand out as it’s part of the core gameplay. That being said, everyone and their mom uses GS already, I like diversity too so I’m conflicted there I guess.
Core Profession Mechanic Change: I think this would be really interesting, but what if Fast Hands was an innate profession ability, like our adrenaline for example, and we didn’t have to trait for it? Giving warriors JUST 1 burst skill, and an adrenaline bar (Which has does already have some benefits to it via Zerker’s Power, Adrenal Health or Cleansing Ire, albeit traited) seems really bare, even for a class that’s designed to be simple. It would open up new builds possibly? Or would it be too strong?
Unsuspecting Foe: I would be fine if it stayed in its place but was a max of 30% critical chance increase or anywhere else below. It needed some kind of change, but why not extend the critical chance increase to disabled foes as well? Since it’s getting moved to master in all it should effect KD, Daze, Stun etc.
Other than that:
-I’d like either a choice of burst skills per weapon (maybe 1-3 to choose from per weapon or something)
-Other benefits from using Adrenaline like how Cleansing Ire works, maybe healing, slight offense increase (I personally believe controlling your adrenaline and its use and timing is a very good skill to have for playing a warrior. I’m thinking back to times where Adrenal Surge was most commonly used and you could time it in a way in fights where you’d heal up and then blow your adrenaline on something with good timing, or use it to get both bursts off.)
I figure, Warrior as a class has lots of cool tools and is fine, but the problem stems from being able to have all of them at once. I had hoped that the patch would target Warrior’s Healing Signet, or something and leave our damage capabilities where they were. I would have preferred Warrior to retain the ability to do lots of CC (Hell, give em more, but no damage if they can stunlock you for literally days), or lots of damage, but a fair balance if you wanted both. I feel that the change to Unsuspecting Foe is justified, but could do a lot of hurt because of its placement.
EDIT: What if, fair cooldown (and I mean Stomp to Endure Pain level of cooldown time) Wild Blow: Remove all boons, or set number of boons, always crits (Last bit too strong?) I played GW1 which is where this came from. I kind of wish we still had Save Yourselves, it was my 2nd favorite skill/shout, first being For Great Justice.
Maybe I’m jaded, I’m probably looking at some things wrong. Sorry for the wall of text. I’ve just had tons and tons and tons of ideas ever since I started playing GW2 in late November and never really posted on forums, only read.
PvE/PvP/WvW.
80 Warrior/Thief/Elementalist/Guardian.

I see what you’re saying CMstorm. I usually look at guild wars 1 skills since I can’t come up with my own skill names for inspiration. I considered writing Warrior’s Endurance without Protection but then it looked mediocre for some reason. Could probably last longer.
Instead of what I suggested for Warrior’s cunning it could last 8 seconds it could give either Might, Fury, or Retaliation when you attack. (10 seconds/5 seconds/3 seconds) with a 1 second internal cool down for each boon
I have some ideas I post here.
Shouts Ideas:
*I Am Empowered- Shout gain might and toughness for 5 seconds. For 10 seconds, 5 nearby allies close to you gain a stack of might per second and 2 second regeneration while in your presence.
Stance Ideas:
*Bull Stance – Increase movement speed by 20%. Immobilize conditions are converted to snares instead. Snare effects are reduce by 50% effectiveness. Next damage attack knocks down target for 3 seconds.
Physical Ideas:
*Slammer – can be casted while moving. Melee ranged. Slam weapon/s into enemy targets in cone in front of you. dealing massive damage. target is effected by torment for 5 seconds.
Watch out!: Grant 300/600/900 toughness to nearby allies for 4 seconds, no cd, costs adrenaline.
To great Justice: For 15 seconds get double adrenaline (35 sec cd).
Dragon hit: Deal 1.5/2.5/3.5* Damage, no cd, costs adrenaline, generates 15 adrenaline based on the adrenaline used afterwards

I kinda like Watch Out!
rename To Great Justice. sounds too much like For Great Justice. and plus, To Great Justice used to be the old Berserkers Stance. I think it lasted for 20 seconds and you gained extra adrenaline on a 40 sec cd. But there’s already a ton of traits and skills that give bonus adrenaline on hit/crit/skill use for warrior.
Dragon Hit is a maybe
I just want a counter to stealth. Something that will force reveal.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
The similarities are intended. Just gimme back my DS spamming SY! shouting warrior xD
I don’t care what we get.. I just want utilities that can be used in PvE that aren’t passive or banners.
Right now, basically the only two utilities that I actually activate are FGJ and Frenzy really.
I’d kill for banners to be placed on back, but I doubt that’s going to happen.
Signets are boring.
Shouts are meh, FGJ is decent.
Banners are only decent for dungeons, hate hauling them around.
Stances are PvP
Physical are PvP
Honestly all i want is a banner trait similar to ranger spirits, like have it traited to spawn a little squire (similar to ascalon fractal boss) they shouldnt attack just carry my banners :[
whirlwind axe to reflect range attacks like the thieves

No one uses Physical in PvP.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
New skills; not new or rebalanced traits but entirely new skills? Hmm… How about an entirely new line of skills? You know, like Physical, Stance, Signet, Shout, and Banner.
Maneuver – Maneuvers are powerful abilities with short cooldowns that the Warrior performs in response to a combat situation. They are locked out during combat until a specific prerequisite has been met.
- Forced Opening:
- Useable after being blocked 5 times within a 10s time frame.
- Your next attack is unblockable and stuns the target for 1.5s
- 20s Cooldown.
- Assault:
- Useable after gaining 10 stacks of Might with Fury present
- You rush toward the target (900 range)
- 20s Cooldown.
- Repose:
- Useable with 5+ conditions present
- Remove 3 stacks of all conditions present (cannot remove stack of 1)
- 20s Cooldown
- Reverse:
- Useable after blocking 5 attacks within a 10s time frame
- Gain Reflection for 3 seconds
- 20s Cooldown
Of course none of this is balanced or anything…just an idea. So don’t flame on improper numbers…
I just want a counter to stealth. Something that will force reveal.
I just want the circle thing of “On My Mark!” to stay visible when something is stealthed.
“I Will Avenge You!”
Elite Shout – appropriate cooldown, appropriate duration.
For every Downed ally within a x radius, you gain 3 stacks of Might, 1 stack of Fury and 1 stack of Regen (stacks vary depend on balance).
If you kill an enemy during the duration of “I Will Avenge You!”, all Downed allies Rally.
Utilities that use Adreniline would be cool as well.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.

I’d be happy with that, it a counter to stealth on a long CD so it wouldn’t render stealth build completely useless. I would probably start using it if it did that.

I use them in PvE for CCing powerful non CC immune NPCs for soloing.

You are Wrong. Nobody doesn’t not use them. A lot of people use physical skills. All of the physical skills are pretty good, even without Physical Training.
I can see how u get bored with most signets. But that’s kind of what they are. 1 passive effect :P and a decent or good active effect. And stances aren’t just Pvp. they’re pve/dungeons/wvw :P
A lot of people use physical skills.
So, zero is a lot?
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
We need scythes and Javelin back 8D
BM: I want to present you my lovely jingle bear mia
If pet had voices: Mommy, I did it! :3
Skills Ideas
-Barbaric Leap: Physical skill; Leap into the fray, dealing (x) damage in a (240~) radius. Range: 900. If Physical skills are traited for, add a 2 second stun.
-“Onwards!”: Shout skill; Removes movement impairing effects from you and allies, and grants 15 seconds of swiftness.
-Disciplined Stance: Stance skill; Drains 5 Adrenaline per second, healing (x) amount per interval for 6 seconds. Does nothing if warrior has 4 or less adrenaline on interval.
-Banner of Marching: Banner skill. Gives teammates 25% passive movement speed increase while reducing the duration of chill and cripple.
Can’t think of a signet skill :P
I want a GreatAxe 2 handed. (won’t ever happen)
Aside from that, I want Shield Bash to go further than 3 feet.
More launch.
/15char
bonety defence: stance- block all hit for 3 second per adrenaline strike

I would like them to create a 4th adrenaline bar when max out unlocks a Super Burst move. Every weapon will have 2 burst skill basically: normal one and super one. For example, the greatsword Super burst move could be a powerful slash that splits the earth in half and hits anything in it’s path (1200 range) doing damage equivalent to a full 100blade.
Just imagine seeing a line of enemies dying to that powerful burst.
For the hammer super burst move will be: a powerful smash that knocks all opponents into the air for 6 seconds. You can then beat them like a pinata.
For the mace super burst move: You club one opponent so hard their entire body is driven into the ground, with only their head expose. They are incapacitated for 20 seconds.
This is what I want for the warrior class
I’d like to see a pull skill similar to the scorpion wire.
I want a big kittening two handed axe!
I want a big kittening two handed axe!
My Charr would look so kitten weilding an two handed axe!
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
Stances re-engineered to not being OP when adding these 2 features:
1) Stances are activated and uses (x) adrenaline per second.
2) When running out of adrenaline or de-activating the stance
will stop the stance and start a cooldown.
Heal skill that heals (x) for every adrenaline spent, to make use of
adrenaline in non-full adrenaline bars, which are ‘used up’/wasted otherwise.
First suggestion will force the warrior to think twice about using a burst skill
because it will end his stance …do you want to end that stance or use burst skill?
(ofc some or all burst skills might need to be adjusted as well to provide that
more benefit to ending a stance and putting it on cooldown.)
