The Tiny Yuno Sniper of Ebay [EBAY]
(edited by Cerby.1069)
Anyone else noticed lately that double tapping ‘3’ doesn’t set it off unless your mouse cursor is aimed at the ground?
Used to be able to have it go off instantly in whatever direction i was moving regardless of cursor placement. Used to be able to have it go off instantly in whatever direction my mouse cursor was aimed at.
If my view is ground level and if my cursor is in the upper 50% of my screen, it won’t trigger the ability. That’s 50% of my screen space…
I gotta be looking down at the ground all the time if I want it to trigger regardless of cursor position. if I’m looking up I’m screwed.
Am I supposed to click ‘3’ and then ‘left click’ to use this ability now? Double tapping is a thing of the past?
Sword burst (the immobilize) is also randomly freezing my character inplace until the action is completed. I have to use a dodge to break it alot of the time…if i dont have one I’m screwed. Gs 2 is also not going off ‘on-time’ if I managed to switch from sword burst to it and want to use hundred blades. If I somehow manage to immobilize the enemy……and it allows me to cancel the burst and switch to greatsword I pound on the ‘2’ key and it registers the click but nothing happens for up to 0.5-2 seconds….at which time I’ve lost the combo.

Whirlwind has worked that way as long as I can remember, tbh. I think skill clicking with your mouse will still send you forward, but I haven’t tried that in a while. I suggest you change the settings for how ground targeted skills work though, so you don’t have to double tap.
As for Flurry, yeah, it can suck, but just bind stow weapon to a convenient key. First, it will always break Flurry so you can make better use of the immobilize than the full channel. Second, using stow weapon is a great way to bait out dodges when you’re using other skills like Killshot/Gunflame, so you should work it in anyway.

The direction if whirlwind is based on a straught line between u and the surface that your cursor is pointing at. If the cursor is in the sky and there’s no surface, it has no direction.
99.9% Sure

At 1:53 you’ll see me preposition then let my toon free face. When I hit whirlwind, tapping the button in quick succession, despite the directional facing down the slope the animation travels horizontally.

Yes I knew where he’d placed the traps the entire fight. The whole thing just went stupidly XD

I can’t see your mouse cursor there, but it looks like your footage doesn’t show what the OP is describing. You have a clear ground target that’s pointing in a different direction than where you traveled.
I understand the OP to be saying he can’t use Whirlwind unless his mouse is pointing at the ground. Iirc, you don’t even get the ground target if you’re not pointing at the ground.
I kind of think he used to mouse click the skill and now he isn’t, because mouse clicking does shoot you off in the direction you were travelling.

Oh I see.
To my memory, the mouse was over the toons as such that it was in the direction of the yellow arrow of the skill. Only it spun off the other way.
It’s quite possible one of the iterations they’ve done with skill clicks and camera effects has altered the behavior. It wouldn’t be the first skill to be effected.
Hi
i play with these options , try them :
TBH i already used to play with the camera from above so i rarely click on the sky and currently im in work cant check, but i think these should solve your issue.

I lock it to range like Juba, but prefer having ground targeting occur upon release (especially for GS3, so I can track a target). Try both out and see what you like best.
