As the title asks, just a little fun thread looking at what everyone’s most used weapon set so far.

I’m usually using almost all the weapons depends on situation (defensive,offensive or just fun). But GS is up all the time for me, with Rifle at second choice. Using shield A LOT. Lately I tried LB and I like it a lot now. Might switch my rifle for LB, it really is sweet.

I pretty much use GS always as one of my sets. Whirlwind is too good to give up.

I have two builds. Berserker build and a bleed build (I know all the bleed builds are bad but I enjoy it).
Berserker Build: Greatsword —-- Sword/War Horn
Bleed Build : Sword/Shield —-- War Horn

Axe/Shield + Long Bow always for PvE. (Keeping War horn and Rifle as well)
Axe/Shield or Hammer + GS for PvP

PvE: Sword/Axe + Longbow

The amount of condition damage that can be dealt with this build is insane, mainly cause monsters/npcs can’t remove conditions instantly like players can. On top of the high damage output it has a very strong survivability cause all you need is crit + condi damage, leaving either toughness or vitality and healing shouts or regen banners to help keep you alive.

sPvP: Pre-patch = GS + Axe/Mace, Post-patch = Axe/Mace + Sword/Warhorn

Pre-patch build was amazing, great burst, decent control, alright survivability (on terms of a glass canon ofc). Post-patch build is subpar simply cause everything warrior does post-patch in sPvP will be subpar :/ But anyway it’s got fairly high damage as well and a little more survivability then my pre-patch build, but again the bust damage is a thousand times lower.

WvW: Hammer + Longbow

Amazing for team fights, AoE CC, AoE damage/condi fields, AoE explosions, AoE roots, etc. Just a really solid large battle build. Also use healing shouts with this one as well, but mainly for the condi removal with soldier runes and adrenaline boosting with the trait for it.

Hammer + Longbow is it for my Willa. It’s good to have fun while being effective, and I am having trouble enjoying the other multiple options available as much.

GS/ham before frenzy nerf now back to the lame GS/axe/shield…

Hammer and hammer and hammer and hammer and yea pretty much more hammer
For running and escaping I trust on me old sword-warhorn.

Honestly I think this question makes non sense (in pve at least) the huge majority plays with Greatswords. That’s it.

pve: Axe shield mainly, GS for boss fight
WvW: axe+axe/sw+wh in zerg, axe+shield/Hammer in roaming
sPvP: mace+shield/hammer (heavy cc build)

I’m still learning the class but I’ve found double axes to be a lot of fun for AE goodness while leveling. If I need to tank I’m doing mace/shield. Lots of stuns and blocks to stay in control.

In WvW

Sword/Warhorn + Longbow <3 <3 <3

In PvE
Rifle, Longbow, Sword, Off-hand axe, Off-hand mace

sword/shield/warhorn – longbow

sword and warhorn allow me to travel really fast, really far and possibly speed up my allies along the way. i can do terribly terribly things to my enemies with a sword and shield as well.

longbow is for when i want to spread lots of damage or spike someone for 6k or set up combo fields/finishers.

not that great by myself, deadly in small groups.

I usually run Greatsword/Axe+Shield/Mace for PvE, sometimes substituting Longbow or Rifle. For WvW I run a Warhorn in my secondary offhand with a different build.

At first I really wanted to play with a rifle and gs and I still do like those weapons, but I’m constantly playing a sword/ warhorn and sword/ shield in wvwvw, I feel like it offers everything

Hammer Sword / Mace
Numba one stunna

WvW I am still learning warrior but at first I went with the popular axe/shield gs

Then swap to sword/shield and gs

Now Hammer and GS but Hammer get all the love right now.

GS/Axe for PvE (dungeon) as it’s the best direct damage you can get. Offhand may vary (Mace, Shield, Warhorn) but most of the time it will be mace.
Sometimes replacing either GS or Axe/Offhand for a Longbow ; almost never use Rifle.

Sword/Shield/GS for PvP.
