Assuming you had no other choices, lol.

GS + Rifle or LB

GS + Rifle

A/A + Rifle or LB

A/A + LB #1

A/A + LB #2

I’m indecisive and I need opinions. o__o

If I had to pick between those, I’d pick GS + longbow or rifle. Rifle more for roaming, longbow for zerging.

Obvious answer is “none of those”. I’d use my build, which is why I made it.

From those, however, let’s see:

Anything with Axes is out, because axes, especially off hand axe, suck dongs in PvP.

That leaves the two GS builds.

Of the two, the second one is a wreck, so, first build, with GS + Longbow, and take those 10 points from Strength and add them to Defense so you can get Cleansing Ire.

I’d also change Heightened Focus for Burst Mastery, despite the GS’s appalling burst, for synergy with CI.

Going with just the choices you listed, A/A is almost out of the question because mobility is needed. I’d say the first build, slightly modified if possible. This is the modded build.

The Str 10 trait that removes conditions on your main heal is underwhelming. With the falling trait, you benefit from it because of the landscape, and for sieging. You can drop down from a tower, create a stomp, and knock people off rams and cause havoc. You can run back inside and re-do this as much as you can (though very dangerous). This also helps tremendously when surprise attacking with your zerg by jumping down the wall together.

Just 5 more pts in Arms to get +10% damage on bleeding enemies which synergizes with 5 Arms minor and everyone in the zerg spamming bleeds.

With Dogged March, Moblity Strikes is not as needed (and it doesn’t affect cripple/chill which you really get spammed with in zergfights). Also, you can take Melandru runes and Chickpea Soup (-28% condition duration, very cheap) to get a passive -86% snare duration.

Those 15 points can be placed elsewhere. 10 of those points can be in Str 20 for +10% gs damage, or to get Empower Allies. Now you can also use the longbow’s great burst with no downside.

Hope this helps.

LOL.

Yea, I like my axes, but I definitely feel like the GS is better versus players. I’ll try that out. :P

1) I’d put rifle out of your mind, while it’s funny to kill bad players with you’ll notice a pretty significant failure rate against decent ones.

2) I’d recommend taking furious in arms if running longbow (more combustive shots) and traiting at least 15 into strength OR 20 in defense, this is for getting either an extra dodge from your burst skill (this is huge, I didn’t notice how much I liked this until I started utilizing builds without it). 20 in defense is for cleansing ire, which actually works brilliantly with the longbow (as it’s the only weapon it works half decently with).

3) Discipline I like both DoTE and mobile strikes. Mobile strikes if not running a melandru/hoelbrak+food+dogged march combo.

EDIT: Also, I really like fast hands… wouldn’t take that 15 out if it were me.

I would take their advice with a grain of salt. If you like axes, try them, but also try everything else. You should really be finding what works for you. I’ve had great success with axe/shield and rifle in a berserker build which is something most people will tell you sucks, but it fits my style, and I’m careful to put myself in situations that play to my strengths. That’s one thing the GS has going for it, if you over commit, you just run. Axe doesn’t have that luxury, but I’d hardly call closing with rifle and finishing the fight with an 11-14k eviscerate unplayable in pvp.

As far as traits, I’d find a play style, weapons, and utilities; then refine from there. It’s a long but enjoyable process.

PM me if you have more questions.
