I shouldn’t say it’s not being played at all, but the presence of warriors have greatly diminished in pvp. I love me some warrior, it’s always been my main next to mesmer, and while I do agree that shoutbow pre june patch needed to be balanced, here are some of my thoughts on how we can improve the profession:

DEFENSE AND DISIPLINE TRAITLINES ARE A MUST

I don’t think I’ve seen a profession more shoehorned into two traitlines in awhile now, Defense and Disipline are MANDATORY. Fast Hands Brawlers Recovery, Cleansing Ire, Defy pain, etc. there are so many traits that are crucial to being a “good” warrior. Mesmer had this problem competitively at one point with deceptive evasion and illusionary persona, but one was made baseline and there are tanky builds without using DE that are playable. Some of these are going to have to be made baseline like fast hands and brawlers recovery because of how little resistance Warrior has to the direction of the meta. It has crippled build diversity.

SHOEHORNED UTILITIES

Endure Pain and Berserker’s Stance, those two are seen in nearly every offensive build and that isn’t a good sign. Why aren’t people using more rage skills or physical Skills? Because the damage is so high, you need the immunities, which would be ok if your offensive presence was not outclassed. Would you rather take a burst warrior on your team? Or a burst mesmer or dragonhunter that have much more versatility? Would you rather take a tank warrior or a tank guardian that offers more team support ad healing?

BERSERKER BURNS AND OVERALL MECHANIC UNDERPERFORM, MAKE BERSERK MODE MORE POTENT

The Berserker is an awesome idea, burning is a strong condition. I think a few adjustments could help this, ofor example moving the trait “Burning Arrows” somewhere else (a traitline that berserkers would actually take) and buffing the burning stacks to two on each rage skill. (or increase duration) If I am giving up things like Endure Pain or Berserker’s Stance, I want my rage skills to hurt, and right now, they don’t. Berserk mode is a cool mechanic, but it needs more. I am spending all of my adreneline on this and it depletes after combat fast (should be fixed like they did with Druid Celestial Form), if I’m using this, I want it to have an impact. Most people don’t even notice I am in berserk mode, and that’s not a good thing. I want it to be like reaper where some people are like “Oh kitten that’s so cool and useful.” Give it some incoming damage reduction, increased damage, take inspiration from rampage and kinda work something like that (minus the stability). Make it flashier, reaper looks awesome, berserker should be like on fire or something kinda like how guardian’s torch skill is, something to make it more visible.

Burn can actually be quite deadly, bleeding not so much.

No. warrior is fine as of now. We just need a bit a bit little buff, but that is not that much gap that would make you quit warrior.

However, besides that, if you play ShoutBow or Banner Shout, warrior works totally fine.

People just diminished warrior for now temporarily becuz only new content Berserker trait works not great so they are jusy trying other classes.

I am pretty sure they will come back to warrior when getting bored in the future.

I am writitng down it as I have played high ranking people since patch. There is almost no problem except so many range & invisible CC from Dragon hunter in terms of balance. I havent met decent druid yet but with shoutbow or banner shout I had no prob. they looked very tanky tho. But let me more experience them before making conclusion.

Wasn’t GreatAxe amazing? Idk after expansion tho.

Aion, yeah but a little on Korea server. It was just too grinding and no pvp gear & level equalized arena, which made me stop playing tho. I rather gonna play Blade and Soul NA server next year Q1. I heard it has gear & level equalized arena just like Guildwars 2 thus that is why I gonna play and is published by same company as Aion I guess.

Mained glad on NA server siel for 5 years before switching over to this game last month. Upkeeping just got too expensive and is about to get worse so I jump ship. What’s funny is that I see a lot of complaining about class imbalance but it’s nothing compared to Aion which is probably why it doesn’t bother me much. Knowing anet and being and avid GW1 player for 5 years prior to Aion, I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before they rework the specializations. We shall see.

The Bereserker is the worst HoT elite spec hands down. There is no possible way to defend it or argue against that fact.
The berserker spec trait like actually DOWNGRADES the warrior and makes him weaker, you won’t see a single Warrior grind for the hero points nor bother to get the elite spec. And in PVP they prefer remaining as a warrior.
Compared to the Necros,guards,rangers and thieves for example. Who have elite skills that nearly double their strengths, and no life the game for 10 hours a day in the jungle just to get those powerful Elite specs.
Months of balancing and ideas and yet Arena net somehow managed to find a way to make Warriors WEAKER with the elite spec. My mind is blown.

It has some good ideas, giving warriors access to burn, the hardest hitting condition, can actually be quite potent, it’s just not fully realized. It seems so far judging by the new build last night that that they aren’t buffing warrior, but instead trying to nerf things like dragonhunter down to it’s level. A little confusing, but we’ll see how this goes.

The reason Berserker doesn’t work well at the moment is because of the opportunity cost involved in picking up that trait line. Too many blackhole traits and utilities to make it worthwhile.

If ur an old player u should know that at the begining of the game warriors were kitten too, back when the signets stats were 90 points… so there was this patch (i dont recal the date) in wich warriors got busted drasticly, it was the patch that double all signets from 90 to 180… that was the best moments for warriors and we cant denie the fact that warriors SHOUTBOW build was op… that was until last trait patc… to make it short and simple… warriors days r over anet doesnt even know what to do anymore i even feel sry for them specificly speaking the team that “trys” to “balance” the clases, all we can do for now is run gs/shield axe full zerker and hope for the best cause when berserker stanca or endure pain are over all we can do is run like a kitten and hide in a courner… ill personally will tell right now u should run necro in general it doesnt matter if it is reaper or what ever, is the most op class.
i’ve played with DEVs in pvp they’ve also said in chat that it is op and they dont do kitten about it… i personally wont play necro im faithfull to my warrior but ull never find me in pvp or wvw anymore… ill hide hide in a courner in maguma (pve).

Trying ShoutBow or Banner Shout on them will solve your problem. If ShoutBow doesn’t work, Banner Shout must work. 100% sure since I have tested upon high level players like Apex, The Abjured, Faded, StunningStyle, Radioactive and etc. You can get those builds at my twitch link below.

Warrior is just fine, not that OP but not that weak as well, well-balanced. Anet did pretty good job on balancing.

Just nerfing current OP-est meta like druid and dragonhunter will solve all the balance problem. This is only remaining task for Anet to conduct for balancing.

Not sure, do Anet refund this game for not being OP of specific class?
If you look for other than that Berserker spec, it is balanced.

Most of problem discussed here is that new Berserker spec isn’t as much OP as new Dragonhunter stuffs.

We just need to wait then, Anet will make decision.
