Alright, this is something that has been bothering me for a very long time. There are some warrior abilities which sometimes have a delay due to network lag (my guess) and it’s incredible annoying. I’m talking about an issue that happens even when there are no zergs on the map having a huge fight. My connection is solid as well.

Sword leap is instant, hammer 4, 5, 2, 1, are all instant. Greatsword 1, 2, and 4 are instant. A bunch of utilities also begin their cast instantly. I haven’t seen this issue with any other class either. Everything just begins it’s cast instantly.

Now, when you try doing hammer’s F1, GS Rush or whirlwind or any longbow attack, it seems like randomly the cast doesn’t begin for half a second most of the time. I sometimes find myself spamming my hammer F1 because it’s just not casting. It’s sometimes impossible to use GS 3 as a well timed evade because of the delay.

Anyone else notice this too? My buddies and I complain about this all the time.

The absolute worst is the GS autoattack chain.

I can never remember which one causes it, but I think it’s after the 2nd hit in the AA chain that causes a very prolonged delay. It makes things very obnoxious when you’re relying on your whirlwind to time an evasion.

Thank you, it seems I am not the only one with this problem. I die on occasions because I want to use my GS 3 skill for the evade and then: “BOOM headshot, you die! Mwuhahahaha” or I just don’t manage to dodge the skill, putting me in a disadvantage because of the delay.

I have the same problem most notably with sword and hammer F1 skills. Sword F1 will take nearly a second for the animation to start, by which point most of the time the opponent has moved out of its range, and hammer F1 I’m just standing there waiting for it to go off.

I think maybe it has something to do with CPU overload. My poor little Core 2 Duo just can’t keep up, I’m thinking. It’s not latency because that doesn’t affect me anywhere else. And when the scene isn’t busy (combat) the moves both go off instantly, but in combat there’s a significant delay between the button press and the attack going off.

I’m not sure what’s with it, but it’s definitely annoying. It’s not latency, since everything else is still fine, but it is most definitely incredibly annoying. I was always curious as to whether it was just how I’ll queue up skills before others end, but I guess it may not be.

Yeap… delay in sword F1 skill made me lose my target and swing at the air like maniac lots of times.
