[WvW] Celestial - Axe\Sw + LB - Advice
It’s a shame you’ve already invested so much into Celestial gear because sooner or later you’re going to find Warrior sPvP builds don’t really translate well into WvW.
Mobility is king in WvW roaming and you have absolutely none. Dueling in OS will probably be nice though.

theres also no point in going celestial, you might as well just go full dire with sword instead of axe.
your power is way too low in celestial to mean anything. the fact that you’re not using str runes means you wont be able to get enough might stacks to make up for the low power.
you’re also not using vigor on stance trait, you’re going to get kitten on without some sort of vigor uptime.

Which is why I would like to keep the Traveler runes, though since I am trying to go a mostly condition build. I could swap LB for Dire Sw\Wh, that would solve the mobility, and Wad’s Vigor issue, and add some sort of Condition damage rune. Only downside is I would loose the guaranteed condition cleanse with the long bow, and loose the ability to kite if need be.

Keep in mind this is a build that I am trying to modify\salvage that I was originally going in a different direction, and I haven’t had too much issue with lack of vigor, but I will make the change ans see how it works.
Though, I look at celestial has a hybrid type build, the point is not to do all damage with conditions, power, or crit, but with this build to do most damage with conditions, and make up for the lack of condition dmg from not using Dire, with the Power and Crit that I do have…of course I could be completely off my rocker. I will look at moving to a complete Condition warrior with a Dire set, I do have a few ascended armor chest with the option for Dire, so it would not be to hard for me to switch.
However in the mean time how would something like this work? Keep in mind I just threw a Condition Dmg rune in, it can be change, and still not sure what Weapon sigils to use.

as for sigils, i’d use doom, , geomancy on sword, and hydromancy, intelligence on axe.
This build can only be used for dueling. You will not kill anybody with it in roaming. Not because it’s not strong, but because they will just walk away and reset until you mess up.
I dueled Vaanss with a stronger version of this build, lot of fun. I think he uses 6/0/2/0/6 though.

Yes this is sw+sw, but once you see an opponent, you have the option to hot swap a zerker axe. And even if you got jumped, that final strike on the sword is not weak.
With 30% boon duration you have 90% up time on fury + with 10 to 20 stacks of might always.
Why wouldn’t it be viable?
You could change Dogged March to Sure Footed or Missile Deflection; or Mobile Strikes to Vigorous Focus or Signet Mastery… or whatever.
Around perma 10 to 15 might stacks while incombat. That’s around 2154 to 2329 power and 1188 to 1363 condition damage, not counting guard buffs, which would up that to more than 2400 power and almost 1500 condition damage, (with 25 corruption stacks you would have 1713 condi damage), all the while having like 3k armor, 23,5k HP (more than 26k with guard buffs and wvw bonuses), 33% chance (53% with fury) and 203% crit damage. You still have your cleansing ire, tripple stance, your mobility…
At that point, 1,2 to 1,5k sword autoattack hits are nothing to scoff at, don’t get me started on final thrust.
You could even change the Corruption sigil to a Sigil of Strength which adds around 3 to 4 might stacks during combat as fas as I’ve tested.
The only stat kindda wasted is healing power as it has horrible scaling on a warrior, but you gain everywhere else.
The key to make a workable celestial build is the might stacking, as others already pointed out.
Given those potential stats, if THAT’S not viable… well, fvck it.
Also, you get a couple trait changes here and there, you wield an Axe instead of a Sword (mainhand) and you have what’s quite possibly one of the strongest dueling specs in the game… if you are into that.

The problem with sword sword longbow, when compared to axe sword is that sword does not bring that power punch to the table. Final thrust is very unreliable, especially compared to eviscerate. You would be relying on condition damage for the larger part of your damage, at which point it might be better to focus on that.
Eviscerate in the Celestial build in PvP is what sells the build (along with longbow F1 on point off course). But it is the sudden 6-8k reliable spike that ends fights.

^What?? Sword does not bring power punch? This is WvW we are talking about, not sPvP, you can have much much more inflated stats in WvW than in sPvP, and he/she’s asking for a celestial roaming build. You can’t go WvW roaming with 0 mobility (Axe/Sword+Longbow), ever.
Sword packs a serious punch in a celestial build when might stacks come into place, and yes, I’m talking about direct damage, you also get Flurry, a priceless 6 second duration immobilize which easily competes with stage 3 Eviscerate.
Remember you still have many attacks that do pretty decent direct damage such as Sword’s AA, Final Thrust, Rip, Fan of Fire, Arcing Arrow and even Combustive Shot.
You may not be as effective with a S/S+LB build using a celestial amulet in sPvP, but WvW is a different beast altogether.
