Pre-patch, life as a condi warrior in WvW was medium difficulty. You didn’t contribute much to a zerg fight because of the cleanses, but you could apply decent AOE pressure with longbow. As a roaming class, we were pretty good, but could have escape issues (not running Nike greatsword).

Post-patch…life is terrible. A lot of classes got DPS buffs, and a lot of condi improvements. Warriors got…nerfs basically. Sword DPS has stayed about the same, with a slight buff to crit chance and stacking condi dmg if you build for it. Longbow got a major nerf with the burning change though. Specifically, combustive shot is practically worthless as a DPS ability now. With the long pulse interval, and short duration of our burns, you will rarely have more than 1 stack of burning on single target. Even when traiting the longbow burn on auto attack, it doesn’t make up for the lost damage.

I think combustive shot needs a complete rework. Either increase the pulse frequency (Make it once per second instead of once per 3 seconds, as it was originally), or increase the stacks of burning it applies each tick. Maybe make the burning stacks based on adrenaline level.

I will continue to play and gather info, but I fee like our DPS in longbow has been cut in half.

Medium? lol no for anyone that is decent condi warrior was easy mode cheese. Even a new player could play condi warrior and beat the average skill less players in WvW.

That being said Condi warrior was never good…unless it was small fights and you had others to carry you. Or 1v1s…

My advices is to try to learn to get better and stop playing easy mode cheese specs that only work against some players. Hop on the zerker train your life will be better.
