Guild Wars 2

As the title says, I’m looking for a frontline, zerg/tankish build for warrior. I looked through all 3 of the “Build” sticky, but not much and a few were dead links.

Any MUST abilities and traits? Gear suggestions?

I’d say shouts? Along with the shoutrunes that cure a condition when using a shout. So at least 6 in tactics and 3 in Discipline (always get fast hands). Then, sword/warhorn or sword/shield plus hammer.

Most common shout setups are 00563 or 00464 trading armored attack for dote.

I play in celestial. build 0/0/6/6/2, sword/warhorn(or shield or axe) and Longbow, whit stability, berserker stance and Banner of XX. Good defence, good damage, good support, a regen to all.
You’re not the best. You’re not a bunker, a dps, a healer, but you can deal good damage, survive longer and give heal to yourself and allies and support.
If needed I mix celestial whit soldier, for more defence. But I stay almost always full celestial.

Shout war horn build is nice. Simple and esay to be good with. I run it as 4,0,4,6,0. X/war horn + hammer. Armor stats and runes depend on how tanky or dps u want to be. Build I solid for havoc too. Can switch gs for hammer in havoc but that’s all preference

Keep a Great Sword and Long Bow around for different uses you may run into.
Using this build you will find with the right group buffs you can get close to 34k HP and 3K power with no crit.
Try it. Its inexpensive, simple , and will get you through most anything except solo roaming. (its about 50/50 in 1 on 1 pending on what you run into and your skill)
This build should not suffer to much with the upcoming changes.
