Hello,

Been working passively on a Healing Shout Warrior for maybe a year.
It utilizes Shouts, Hammer, Sword/Warhorn with a split of magi/cleric and a berserker hammer.
There are some variants I might try like Stomp for stab/cc/mobility. I moved away from warbanner as it is a long cd and long cast time making it kind of bad imo. So I picked up runes of surging and signet of rage for more rupts with hammer. Another option I’m considering is human elite grenth form for some debuffs.

Think I got it somewhere I like for now,

The reason that it seems to make sense is that it’s more or less a rehash of a long standing build from the old days. But it’s just not as much of a contributor as it used to be due to nerfs, game power creep, and better builds on other classes to do the same job. Personal sustain’s probably better now that it used to be.

The concept’s about the same though… party support, middling damage, and interrupts.

Here’s an old video from way back when Red Guard was a thing. Variations include the “worker warrior”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tPdXawRbrQ

I’m surprised you went that route though, given your super glass style with your rev.

My current wvw lineup I play, with full ascended,

Boon glamor chrono
Glass hammer herald
Boon corrupt reaper
Burn support dh

Been working this warrior forever but for some reason never tried hammer. Realized the brilliance of the hot sigils with hammer. Was using the banner of tactics but on dropping that it feels kind of fun as I’m not chained to that. It will never replace something like ele but it’s not supposed to. A build for warriors who may not simply understand how they can function in a zerg cooperatively.

That’s part of the problem currently, people play bad zerging builds because they enjoy playing a class that no one will make a competent build for as “x class is not meta”.

Inclusive gaming ;-)

i have tried to reply heal shout, it just is not worth it anymore. every other class has much better options even with 3k heals.

Yes those sigils work very well with hammer given there no ICD. One thing you might look at is sources of quickess. I am not sure you can get that in your build but Hammer becomes a very different weapon with quickness running.

As to the surging rune , i see how it can be useful but that quite the cooldown on it with the signet of rage.

I really get tired of the “it not meta crowd”. They smply are not the type to try things out for themselves. If it not listed as meta it not viable as far as they are concerned even as you can play very day on non meta and show it not so.

For zerg support I have a Condition warrior in Settlers. It does more damage then does yours but heals the same on all the shouts. It also it tempest runes and uses RR so i heal others when there stun breaks and I can get a fat heal via RR and tempest rune stun breaking kicking in at the same time. (you can heal well over 8k with a shake it off)

I always wanted to take a run at this using a power build but never did get around to it so best of luck.

Shout Warrior doesn’t work for healing because that’s all they do, and they don’t work with any of the warrior mechanics, or any other mechanics really.

The warrior shouts are mostly offensive, but they all are terrible in comparison to necro shouts. On my Mark applies vulnerability to 1 target, Reaper’s Nothing Can Save you can strip 2 boons on 5 targets, converting them into vulnerability, and you gain unblockable. Fear Me fears 5 people based on range, but Chilled to the Bone stuns up to 5 people, chills them (trait synergy), and grants stability per target.

As far as support goes, Vigorous shouts do have higher healing (base and scaling) than the Tempest’s Elemental Bastion, but Elemental Bastion has synergy OUTSIDE the shouts. For example, an ele could trigger Elemental Bastion by blasting an ice field for AoE Ice Aura. And we haven’t even talked about how powerful auras are compared to 1 shot healing shouts (from warrior).

Warrior shouts would need significant changes (read buffs) in order to displace the other class shouts.

For Great Justice: The GW1 version boosted adrenaline gain, neat concept. Make it also boost allies unique profession resource gain rates and acts as alacrity for profession skills.

On My Mark: The target is unable to block. The target is Crippled for 1 second when hit (1 second icd). It’s already a single target vulnerability dump, rather dull for a shout (not counting the reveal). These should improve it’s “Focus this guy now” theme by negating blocks (evades/invulns/stances still work).

Fear Me: For every target feared, the warrior pulses Weakness and Cripple and applies a hit (tiny damage, just for adrenaline) for 1 second (max 5 seconds). Fear Me’s biggest weakness is that it makes enemies run away from the Warrior, but he wants them close so he can hit them. So Fear Me now makes it harder for those feared to flee by slowing them and reducing endurance regen, while granting the Warrior additional adrenaline so he can follow up with the extra hits.

Shake it Off: Allies are granted resistance for 2 second per condi removed. If a stun is broken, the resistance duration is increased by 50% and they gain Regeneration for 3 seconds. How better to shake things off then just ignoring the pain with resistance. Rewards timely stun breaks by boosting the effects and granting regen (helping you shake off the pain even more). Adds a much needed resistance alternative to Mallyx.

To the Limit: Hard to address. It heals a loooot, restores endurance to allies, and fills your adrenaline bar. Not sure what the theme of this skill is, honestly, so I’m not sure how this could be improved.
