I run a Hammer & Axe//WH build in WvW. I used to run sigil of fire and battle on the hammer and strength and energy on the Axe & WH. After the stealth nerf to stacking sigils is it better to drop say fire and run a stacking sigil? It seems like the stacks would compliment both weapons, but sigil of fire pretty darn good. I can’t tell if sigil of fire helps build adrenaline faster or if I’m just over thinking thinks. I’d appreciate any insight on what’s working best for other warriors.

Without knowing more information about your build (traits/utilities) and what your crit chance % is. We cannot provide an accurate answer for you.

But if i had to make a suggestion, yes would agree that you could drop sigil of fire for whatever stacking sigil you arr wanting to run. Im assuming you are trying to generate as much might as possible. So switching a might sigil would be less beneficial.

Out of the four sigils you mentioned, strength is the weakest one IMO. Though it is still good.

But bloodlust will net you 250 power. You need ~7 stacks of might to reach that amount of power. Sigil of strength will not net you those stacks, thus bloodlust is the better sigil.

However, like Assassin said, without knowing your build it is hard to provide an accurate answer. For instance, if you also utilize condition damage, might stacks become more potent.

I only state my opinion unless stated otherwise.

Depends what your attack is. I suppose that now stacking sigils stack by 5 per kill its not as big of an issue.

As a rule of thumb though if your attack is on the low end side bloodlust is better. If your attack is very high sigil of force is better.

When starting with no stacks at all you start at low power mode. In this scenario sigil of force is always better.

For a hammer build right now I recommenced sigil of intelligence+force.

Sigil of fire + air is a really strong combo too. But the point is when you swap to hammer you are promised 3 crits. And out of all the skills on the hammer only 3 of them really need to crit to do a lot of damage. backbreaker, staggering blow and earthshaker.

I purposely didn’t post a build because I was hoping for a fairly easy answer. Without any might, I’m currently at about 2550 power and about 45% crit chance with fury. I use heightened focus so I end up maxing around 60% crit chance. I run Hoelbrak runes, so the might stacking is pretty nice to have. I’ve been testing sigil of bloodlust instead of Fire, but I’ve considered using Perception stacks instead.

If you’re looking at maximizing both weapon sets, its hard to argue against stacking sigils on paper, but I do appreciate the responses. Hopefully the extra info helps narrow down what’s best.

Playing Hambow, I like Intelligence & Paralyzation (+30% stun duration) on Hammer.

For Longbow, I am currently using Strength and Fire although I am thinking that I should replace one of these with Sigil of Perception, just not sure which one.

Its really pretty easy to argue that but there is no point in bothering. Because adding a paper calculation for losing and building stacks would be difficult. And of course the calculation assumes that the stacks exist which we know isn’t always true.

But lets assume 1 power = 1 dmg If your power is 2500+ weapon str that like 3600-3700+ might stacks thats like 4000 In that scenario sigil of force is beter. That is also not including crit damagae or other weapon modifiers. 5% of that is superior to 250 power.

However if your Attack is like 1900 than blood lust is better. All of this has already been figured out before no point to try and say it hasn’t
