So far the only warriors I have seen to solo a supply camp have done so by going heavy burst, pulling one by one with a rifle and then kiting/nuking.
I’ve seen Guardians (wall of reflection+blinds), Rangers (go go pet tank), Thieves (smoke screen+bouncing ranged attacks), Mesmers (no comment) and even the odd ele (protection+stunlocks) succeed in taking camps solo without hassle.
I’m sure there is a way for a Warrior to solo down a camp without resorting to 1v1 combat against each guard, so what builds are people using for the job? I’m not the most amazing warrior but I’m not a noob either, however I doubt my current build will suit this task.
I just use my normal build to solo them. Greatsword build too, but I am far from a “Berserker”. And no I don’t kill em one by one.
Depends on if Quaggans are defending XD. But yea, I can solo a camp if the Guild Claimer doesn’t have the buff. I run a healing shouts build so I’m pretty defensively specced. Sword/Warhorn, Axe/Shield. It’s not a walk in the park but it’s doable.
@ Lyonell: Do particular camps (where the guards are more spread) cause more problems than others? I run a Knights/Valkyrie hammer build atm, and it feels like the majority of the issues come from them being too spread out, and the blinds that the scouts inflict.
I actually find blindness easier to deal with using melee. You hit so many things at once (and faster) that it has less of an effect, and isn’t necessarily worth putting condition removal on cooldown.
Yep, Quaggans force me to actually have to lure mobs out, specially thanks to the kitten blind the scouts use on me. Sometimes I need to do a few hit and run fights, if things get too hut, but no camp is impossible. Specially if I can put them close together near a wall.
One thing you can do with ranged mobs is to bother them then stand behind something; they will run to where they can see you, which you can make to coincide with where you can hammer them into the mud. :P
Definitely LoS mobs behind rocks/houses/stables. You should be able to rush the melee guys down before the ranged guys make it over to you.
