Hi all,

Looking for some advice on this build i made, focus is on WvWvW.
Currently running Yojack’s cond dmg build with knight armor instead of rampager and works fine, altho willing to try something else and came up with this build…

In short ;
10/0/20/30/10
Axe / Warhorn + Hammer
Knight armor and berserker jewelry
On weapons +5% Crit chance
On Armor rune of the soldier

Have you considered dropping 10 points for Tactics (which would cost you Vigorous Shouts and Revier’s Might) and putting those points into Discipline for the extra critical damage and something like Sweet Revenge?

While Revenge isn’t always the most useful skill in WvWvW, it can shine if you happen to not get stomped after being downed.

Thanks for the feedback Deria, have looked at what you proposed but the heal shouts far exceeds the 10 points increase in discipline for me.
Really don’t want to loose the heal shouts…

Warrior have only one option at wvwvw – longbow. You need to do damge, if you want reward.

That’s a fine build but not using a ranged weapon will hurt you alot of times.

I would rotate the warhorn only for buffing and running and would use an axe as a secondary weapon.

Savage Leap gives you nice mobility, Whirling Axe is really nice for Portal Bombing, Sword Burst is also great versus clumps.

Longbow is just our only ranged aoe weapon.

I’m leaving Fear Me on the bar because i reckon that it’s quite good in some scenarios, but slotting things like Dolyak/Balance Stance/Frenzy is great depending on the situation.

Traits:
10/0/20/30/10.

Basic damage traits, more range on longbow, healing shouts on lower CDs, and the anti-CC traits in our turtle traits.

Sigil of Nullification on the Longbow (removing those regen fields helps a bit).

Sigil of Water + Accuracy for aoe meleeing in your clump.

Not saying this is the best build, but it’s one i can endorse.

No doubt the longbow is better in stand offs with zerg vs zerg like combat, altho i’m aiming for small group play (or even solo roaming to pick the players getting to the zerg) that is mobile and doesn’t necesseraly stick to the zerg. i’m an old school daoc player so organised group play is more my thing, that’s the reason why i didn’t implement the ranged weapons.

Healing shouts on lower cd’s is nice, but the warhorn on a lower cd offers more for this kind of setup imo. (quicker cd on warhorn with empowered trait is a nice synergie)

Signet mastery vs heigtened focus, extra crit is nice, but the lower cd also wins here imo.
