Guild Wars 2

Hello All,

This is kind of a (Very manly warrior-type) plea to my fellow warriors for feedback and advice….

I’ve been playing about with a few builds over the last few weeks since I came back, WvW has a long way to go but it’s improved for the most part so my few friends and I have been enjoying roaming around (3-4 of us most weekends) I’ve been chatting away to them thinking what could work best with them, but still give me a good chance in solo mode.

Firstly, I’ve not given this build enough time to be changing it for a while, so I’m not up for any major adjustments as frankly, I want it to work as it’s bloody great fun=)

Secondly, I’d like to know if anyone else has uses anything like this build and regardless of that, any warrior insights that may help it, I know the items could use improving, but I can’t be bothered with ascended armour and have only found or brought the items there, I spend most of my time skint atm as I’ve been buying lots of different armour sets to try different things out(Zerk’s and soldier sets of exotics, plus 6 soldier runes(I know, I was getting used to stuff again!)

You’ll of course notice it actually has no condition removal I’m as of yet too sure what to do about this, but it’s not been too much of a concern in the 5 or so hours in WvW I’ve given it except on the occasional 1on1. Most of the time my friends can remove them ( No idea on their builds for the most part but it’s Mesmer, Mage and Necro that I run with, mage uses d/d, necro staff and something, I dunno, he’s a lil shortarse and the mesmer mostly uses greatsword, if that helps.)

Sorry to bang on a bit, don’t often post much so want to get me message across the few times I do, I find a couple of paragraphs with a bit of your personality put in can help people “get” you a bit better.

Have your ele try d/d aurashare, really strong for small groups. And if one of your friends has a thief or mesmer (or both) then youve got an awesome roaming squad

That is a bursting beast of a build sir, the damage from that looks sweet and it’s a better all rounder for the main part, thing is, when the stomp and bulls charge work, it feels great, people don’t expect a stomp when you have a greatsword, nor a charge when you have a hammer, I just really want it to work hehe.

But still, not all builds work no matter how much you want them to, down to the sheer damage and extras to the burst skills, I know I’ll likely be trying your build out next regardless, just gotta get me some gold from dem dere hills!

I’m going to copy that build for the future I think, especially as it involves getting another set of armour, very doubtful I’ll go for the ascended armour, but weapons and trinkets are worth the effort as not bad upgrades frankly.

Thank you very much chap, I may put another build I’m working on here, but I think it’s a bit of a troll build, but it could be very strong if you’re defending a keep, it’s just that that will make you a bit too specialised methinks. I’ll dig it out of my brain over the next few days (work quite a lot so not much time to get on, which is why my reply is so long in coming.)

Once again my friend, thank you for the build, haven’t actually tried a full burst tree build yet so some more replayability for my warrior is coolio.

As far as utilities go you can (and should) be swapping them all the time. Im a big fan of bulls charge+frenzy for example and its awesome when it connects with 100b but if they dodge/block/blind bulls charge then its all over. I just wasted 2 40+sec utilities for nothing. The build i set up in the site is my generic setup, but if i feel like experimenting or am going for something more specific then ill swap them out. I use endure pain a lot more than signet of stamina as well now

While I agree with you, I’d drop burst mastery and legspecialist for unsuspecting foe. It makes a huge difference. Especially if you can time hammer stunes with 100b. It’s up to OP though but I’d very much consider it.

I’d personally go something like this. A lot more burst damage then the build you originally posted. 2,500+ power with 101% crit dmg with 10% greatsword dmg and 25% dmg with hammer = gg. People also really underestimate dodge rolls. A well timed dodge roll will probably net you a 2-3K crit with this build.
