the hammer dmg can get pretty high, still has room to be optimized to get some more dps out of it. i off hand with the GS mostly for its mobility and dmg while spec’d glass. may be possible to run a shield with the build and re work some of the traits.

gear is full zerkers/accessories, with the dps fotm rings/bp

No Leg Specialist? Both the Hammer and Greatsword benefit greatly from it. I would also take Distracting Strikes as 20 Strength Trait when running with the Hammer. It doesn’t do too much damage, but when people see Confusion damage they kinda start to panic a little.

Anyways I’m contemplating giving this a try. I doubt I can pull it off nearly as well though.

The burst is amazing and he has little issues with mobility…I tried to find one time when you used 100b and could not!

The music though, The Legion of Doom was it? Two songs playing at the same time that was weird.

How are you like 3 shotting everyone? Is it just a bunch of lowbies or something?

@oglaf, yeah leg specialist, i wanted to run it but opted for the 10 in arms for the 50% on the stun although its debatable to pick it up, my crit is 49% base with it, i think having it is a bit over kill.

@cempa yeah imo 100b is to easy to dodge and see coming if you open with it. i’ll use it if the opportunity is there or if i know i will get a few hits in but i don’t like to set it up it and make it the focus of my burst. i run into a lot of warriors that if i dodge 100b or ep though it, they don’t know what else to do.

@badrixmgp – all 80’s except in the small group fight, think it had some upscals in it, but other then that i try not to use any footage of killing sub 80’s.

Looking through that linksville thread it seems as though all threads with the word [video] or [movie] or something similar in them get moved there. Which I find odd, because it’s about warrior builds.

Why do people insist on using WvW footage to show the viability of their build? The only way to demonstrate it is a good build is to use sPvP.

We understand that you most likely got best in slot everything for this build. But we also know at least 50% of your opponents (probably more) do not have equal gear.

Long story short. Go wow us with your amazing skills in sPvP where everyone has equal gear then maybe the build could appear viable. WvW is just a massive newb stomp.

i played spvp for my first 500h of my playtime, i’ll go back to it when they actually add a game mode that takes skill to play, Conquest regardless of what mmo it is its the same thing over and over again. bring as many tanks/healers as you can and outlast them on the objective, die, re-spawn rinse and repeat. if the standard for viability of a build is set by what works in s/t pvp for other aspects of the game then no one should run anything other then bunker. the title does say WvW

Fact is, Spvp is a different animal than WvW, with different conditions. Some builds might do well in one but not the other. He can’t ensure he’s going up against people with equal equipment, and not even a sPvP video can guarantee he’s fighting a player of equal skill level, so he’s doing what he can, which is not filming upscaled opponents to the extent that that’s possible.

That’s the most we can reasonably ask of him.

No stability is the thing I wonder…
I find stability the most important thing in WvW.

I’m not saying the game mode is good. Do a hot join sPvP and just find people and smash them with your hammer. It’s just better to show off a build because we know everyone is equal.

Only reason I’m bring it up is because I go in WvW all the time to test out specs and clobber people only to find out the spec is bad and the people were just under geared and under leveled.

Nope.

I played both modes to the death, sPvP is no better indicator of viability of a build.
WvW is a newb stomp? How about hot join then, it’s 100x worse than the worst of WvW.
In its current state, sPvP is nothing short of a minigame stagnated into two builds.
On WvW against good servers I find much more skilled people than I was able to find in 30 ranks of sPvP.

This isn’t GW1 where r12 means you’re pro and AB means nothing.
Until conquest is the only mode, and stats combinations are limited to 2 items, that gamemode will continue to be a roamer vs bunker cheesy noobstomp that sure as hell isn’t the best environment to test the properties of a build.

Also title states this is a WvW build.
It’s like asking a PvE build maker to show a WvW video of his build, doesn’t make any sense.

People saying warrior is bad in WvW are using the wrong build or should learn to play.
Hammer is so strong in a warrior’s hands. Nice damage.

SPvP is player vs circle shoebox arena fighting crap. WvW gives classes the ability to show use of terrain and movement, other build options which do more than “Stand in this circle harder than someone else! w00t go circle slayer!”.

If you noticed, he was also killing players that were upleveled. Nothing impressive about that.

Who cares who he was killing or where? The entire point is to have fun with the game and glass hammer seems really funny.

Also, there are many jobs that aren’t about winning.
Pastors, teachers, etc. These jobs are incredibly important and not about winning… it’s actually about sacrificing to help the world. In my opinion, that’s a “win.”

2. You’re going to win at family?
What does that even mean? Don’t know about you, but I sacrifice a hell of a lot for my family and I have a lot of fun with them. In the eyes of the world, I’m losing, but in my eyes, I’m winning a hell of a lot.

3. You’re going to win at investments?
Agreed.

4. You’re going to win at activities?
Don’t know about you man, but when I play pick up games with my friends, I don’t play to win, I play to have fun. If you win, sure that’s nice, but with that kind of “I win” attitude, you tend to become a hard “butt” and you sap the fun out the game.

Attitude of success and point is to win. It’s not good that you relate the two.
Often times… actually… 99.9% of people who are happier with their lives than most will tell you that success does NOT mean winning. Money doesn’t bring happiness mate. Happiness is something that comes from your outlook.
