Zerker meta nerf and your thoughts.
This wasnt a nerf to the berserker meta. Now its just even more mandatory people run in full zerker gear, to make up for the list dmg
This change doesnt affect the meta in any way, zerker/assassins is still the best gear there is just less damage now so things will die slower, but that affects everyone so zerker will still be the way to go. They will have to change other things to start breaking the zerker meta, if thats what they want to do.
Agreed. Zerker/Sin armor will still be the highest form of damage and as long as GW2 mechanics remain the same max damage/timed rolls will still be the way to go.
Since damage will be smaller, Zerker builds will take longer time to kill those condi bunker or condi spam builds. A few seconds could be all they need to down us.
With the new trait for dual wield maybe, just maybe, axe main can counter the loss by hitting more.

Don’t think that Zerker/Assassins will be as good. It all depend on the mix-maxing at this point. The ratio precision over power will be reduce that for sure. So all full DPS build will remove some of their precision to gain more Power that’s for sure. Now at which point you gonna want to remove precision to gain more power? That’s the question. Would we keep our Zerker/Assassin armor, but nourishement and sigil will all be for power or maybe we are better with a full zerker armor. We will have to make the math for that and i don’t want to try to do the math until the path is there and we have all the right numbers.

Perhaps now people should learn to actually fight the encounters instead of cheesing them via stacks and DPS race. Then again, most of the people playing GW2 actually think they earned their exotics…
im actualy more concerned about the fact that the change from critical to ferocity is actualy just their first step in their attempt to put damage to the same level as other specialisation… they are normalising the damage so to go for the next step… i can explain it in a comparison

Currently Anet is tenderising the critical damage stat so to make it easyer to post nerf it accordingly (its easyer to downgrade raw numbers then percentage…)

To be honest i would like to see a reemergance of sword/shield warrior around… i miss running stuff like final trust and all out strenght builds :P

Umm care to give an argument why it is fictional? To me it sounds like a perfectly rational and likely response to a nerf to group dps. Before most exp paths could be completed with 4 zerkers + 1 support/condi/tank no problem, now that group will just bring 5 zerkers and not tolerate a cleric or condi build in order to keep clears as quick as they were.
Instead of just glibly bashing the player base, care to give an example of how you think things will actually change?
Whats the point in running something diferent than zerker at pve? eg. in higher lvl fract you will be one hitted (if you can’t manage your dodges properly). regardles of your eq.
It doesn’t need to be nerfed. Other builds need to be made viable and useful. No reason to punish Zerker players. Give us situations and enemy types that can better be completed with other builds. If the answer to most situations is “Go Zerker” then the issue isn’t the class it’s the overall design.
