be a little different; use the horn
Warhorn LOOKS stupid as all kitten.
I’ve used it in W3, it’s ok except for being in the crappy trait line and a t2 trait at that…
But it LOOKS just sooo soo bad.
Yaks Bend
Does kind of look dumb, but you don’t have to let the animation finish to get the buffs.
the trait part I view as just a reason to ignore traiting for it and spend the points elsewhere.
Horn is okay in some aspects.. but you can’t simply have “okay” in GW2 standards.
You should always lug a Warhorn around with you, if only for getting around faster.
Do you even lift, bro?
With banner CD reduction and horn you can keep swiftness and banner up pretty much 100% of the time. I love it for grinding DEs and zerg stuff. Plan on using 30 tactics to add regen to the banner too for more support. I use Sword/Horn and Longbow and stack condition damage. Sword provides nice cripple, leap finisher and adds bleeds while longbow does Burning.
everyone uses horns now with sword, so how is that different? With the YOJACKS build floating around..

I’ve been using the horn lately. Here’s the build: 15/0/25/30/0

Some of my concerns lately have been using Cull the Weak or not. Its a build focused pretty heavily on Vulnerabilty, and having that extra bit of vuln helps but I’m not sure I notice it. Also, taking 25 into Defense offers more power than taking 20 Strength.
Using a warhorn is different now?
I used to wield dual axes but noticed that I didn’t use axe 4 and 5 very much. Even when I did use those skills, it was usually more worthwhile to just auto attack anyways. I started equipping a warhorn some time ago and haven’t looked back since.
I use a 20/0/0/20/30 trait build with mainhand axe. Being able to remove conditions frequently is a big blessing in groups and solo play. Also using warhorn 4 with signet of rage you get unlimited swiftness which is very useful for exploration, farming, and wvw.
I tried running sword/warhorn for several weeks. I also enjoyed this combination however your damage is hindered if even a single other person is using a bleed build.
I use a warhorn/axe as my secondary set (GS main).
