berserk or not?
All you’re required to use when you go into Berserker are the traits, and it seems to me the bottom traits would support tagging up pretty well.
You aren’t required to equip Rage skills, or even use the Primal State, if you don’t want to. So make your decision according to whether there’s three better traitlines for your needs or not. If not, slot Berserker and then figure out if those other Berserker options are better than the alternatives.

I’m taking defense and tactics, aiming for might spamming and battle std. which leaves me strength or berserk. I suspect I will go Strength for gs. interested to know if anyone else switched back.
I use arms, defense and berserker on condi, prec and vit.
Its pretty good in pve against mobs and in fractals. Havent tried it on wvw yet, but i recommend it to use.
9 Sylvari, 9 unique Builds.
I am also not 100% shure but switching berserk mode and gaining quickness + a faster burst recharge counting as full adrenaline is very strong ….
Since I think the plan is for more elite trait lines to be implemented, I think the intention is for people to take one elite line and two basic lines. That will likely always be better than three basic lines, unless maybe for some gimmick builds. I see nothing wrong with this. Basic lines are for leveling your character, and once you graduate your profession you pick one of the elite lines.
If they wanted the elite lines to be equal to the basic ones, they would have just made more basic ones, and that seems pointless, boring and unimaginative. I think the whole system is quite genius, and if Anet continues like this, GW2 will likely be by far the best and most popular MMOrpg for a long time, in time growing even more rather than shrinking.

Or, if they had it in their mind to center everything around eSports, then reducing the number or diverse builds in the game makes balancing easier.
Shoehorning players into builds is “unimaginative” on the part of Anet….
