Decided to run the Warrior as my first class. Is there any certain race that does well with the warrior?

No race has any inherent bonus over another for the professions. The big thing, I would argue, would be character size, but the hit boxes are all the same, so it’s a matter of actual screen space (ie., a norn is just bigger on screen than an asura, so it might be “tougher” to see things in front of them… kind of…). The race-specific skills are nifty, but not allowed in sPvP so regarding that aspect, any race is fine.

Actually, regarding any aspect any race is fine…

tl;dr Any race. I prefer norn, because I friggin’ love the norn.

As far as racials go, I’d say charr, they have some of the coolest. Next would probably be asura, and then norn. Sylvari has good ones, but they take long to recharge. Finally, human has very…bland skills.

Racials skills are basically garbage, and they basically removed almost any sort of racial imbalance in this game. Choose based on what is visually appealing to you.

My personal recommendation is asuran though, since they are small. This game has alot of jumping puzzles and i can tell you first hand, being a norn sucks SO MUCH for these. The camera goes bat-kitten insane, and i often have to “blind jump” in tight-knit areas when the camera decides it wants to be inside a wall, or right next to my backside. Smaller races like asurans won’t have to deal with this problem

Im a charr and i never seem to have jumping puzzle problems, i even remember how smug i felt when trying to lead humans through a path and i jumped onto tiny twigs first time then had to wait 10 minutes for them to manage it.

Do not pick Charr as a Warrior.

Most of the armor are ugly on Charr.

If you plan to pvp, pick asura as it is harder to identify your weapons and skill animations.

If you plan on pve, pick whatever race you like – racial skills are crap compared to your class skills. I would advise for you to check how end armor looks on the race you like.
