so, im back from a long break of gw2 and im lvling a new warrior atm.with the upcoming change to condition dammage, im wondering if i start to learn and build my warrior as a condition (s/s+LB) or im just wasting my time and should stay zerk…. i was lvling and planing to use the tapdatmouse GS+hammer build but after trying it while lvling, i didnt liked the playstyle…..if im playing zerk il probably go GS+axe/sheild in wvw and the classic GS+axe/mace in pve.

im currently lvl 38 so the patch might be there when il finish lvling and getting my gear.i did the switch last night and so far codition seem pretty good for solo leveling and the playstyle seem fun.its a bit to early to know if the change to condi will finaly make those build viable for pve (it is for pvp atleast) but im just wondering if you think its a time waste and i should just stick with zerk?

Ideally both. It remains to be seen what the changes to conditions will do and, if you’re still levelling, you still have time before you have to worry about it. If you prefer Condi in pve now, it’s only going to get better.

Gear while you’re levelling is pretty cheap, and one of the blessings/curses of the warrior is that it’s pretty straightforward to figure out the mechanics of any build.

Also, hammer isn’t a great pve weapon, but it’s great against other players, which is what TDM builds for.

I’m betting that my might stacking cele hybrid will be getting a nice boost.

Aren’t they nerfing cele a bit, increasing the baseline Condi damage required to do any sort of damage, and possibly not fully replacing the boon duration Tactics provides now?

I’ve not spent a great deal of time looking at it, but though it looks like the traits are better for that build than they are now, the other changes didn’t seem favorable at first glance.

The ramp up time of condi builds will still hold them back unless we start seeing more enemies with massive health pools.

well it might not be optimal but it might be viable.we need to see first how hight the condition will be buff with full condi gear.vuln will also make the dmg higther.if the dmg is hight enought, it could be similar on trash and mabey higther dmg on boss.

well thx for your opinion.i will lvl and gear as a condi.i got another war fully gear in exotic anyway so i can always switch on him.

i got another question also.what is the best class for condition dmg?is warrior a good class to stack bleeding really fast or a class like necro is far more superior?warrior also have burning with longbow and still do some dmg outside of condition but does it stack 25+ bleeding quickly?

Just casually looking at condi damage for each class, it appears mesmer will probably be the best, but I’m not exactly an expert on all classes.

Maybe for PvP cause you are limited to whatever the amulet gives you but WvW/PvE is more flexible. We are also getting increases our base stats and stats on gear so I don’t see any drastic changes, at least nothing that can’t be remedied by swapping a few trinkets. My WvW roaming build has 677 condi damage without any points in arms at the moment. It won’t take much to put it over the 700 threshold and I’m very looking forward to the trait changes.

Sinister is condi,power,precision

You lose ferocity but gain alot of condi dmg. Celestial may still be the way to go.

I think a lot of people are talking about PvP in this thread and others are talking about PvE and they are debating each other without understanding that.
