Warrior was always more of a tanky monster\frontline commander, so it would be great to develop the idea of this cool frontline monster by adding a spec that would allow warriors to dual wield greatsword. It would’ve been awesome as hell, and it would look far cooler than an offhand dagger spec. This game’s lore and design is defined by the rule of cool, so why not make warriors even cooler?

I can already imagine everyone using Twilight in one hand and Sunrise in the other, to be fair, that is kitten as hell.

Don’t think it would happen only because of sigils. Otherwise a cool and possibly very fun idea.

I can see them possibly doing something like this. When two greatswords are equipt the first sigil of the first gs will be used while the second sigil of the second gs will be used. A feature that let’s you swap sigil positions will be added with the patch. Also the skills will be completely different as if wielding a brand new weapon. So say you’ve got a GS on like normal, you see the five regular skills. Equip another in the offhand slot and you get five different skills for 1-5.

Being honest it doesn’t seem very realistic for the game but who knows really? Maybe we’ll get something like this way down the line.

All these WoW players coming to GW2 and asking for a “Titan’s Grip” kind of ability is starting to get old.

I seriously hope A-net never adds this.

Dual welding could work just make both greatswords auto attack like normal but could only use the skills of one at the time then weapon swap to the other one.

Dual wield two handed swords? Will you get a trait to do this?

You can’t be serious…. Or can you?

It won’t happen because of Sigils – No class is able to run 4 sigils at once. Add weapon swap into that mix and now you have a real balance issue (Imagine a character running a GS, GS / GS, GS set up.
Some would argue a 4 GS Set up couldn’t work, but then I’ve been around long enough to see several sub-Op builds morph into meta given time, player creativity, and intended/unintended ‘help’ from the Dev’s.
