Hey guys, so i am getting tired of the hamboe build and i am thinking of trying hammer and gs, how viable is it in tpvp, spvp matches? And can someone post the current build for that weapon combo? Thanks.

gs/hammer, 1st of all, you can’t go ptv means you are more squishy. or if you go ptv, your greatsword will do close to really no damage and only used to run. and you will miss all the might you can stack with fire field, which will bring a lot of damage and condition damage.

so you either go zerker or celestial.
personally i have a experimental GS hammer celestial build.

here you have it, basically you maintain condition pressure through swap sigils and interrupt and still do decent direct damage with 50 crit chance and sigil of intelligence and have a decent amount of dodging through sigil energy, WW and build momentum.

I have actually been using a gs/lb build…..and let me tell you, after a couple days practice im murdering everyone. I have gotten used to this so called “non viable” to the point where i am taking out all classes 1v1 and even some 2v1.

The build i am running cleanses all conditions, has decent sustain and decent damage. kitten , im sticking to this over hambow.

pls don’t try wvw roaming builds in pvp. they suck even in wvw and are even worse in pvp

This. Either play hambow or GS/Lb but do not play Hammer/GS.

Or, if you just want to have fun, play w/e the hell you want.

GS longbow is perfectly viable though.

It’s alright but far away from beeing good. Rom played sometimes GS/Longbow and the only reason he did was to rush far at the beginng of the match to decap it and causing under number situations. But theres simply no reason to play a GS Warrior if you can have a Mesmer/Thief comp which is doing the same as twice as good the warrior does.
He also only played it in soloq and never in teamq.
Warrior isn’t in a good state for spvp at all so pls don’t make the current state even worse by playing weak builds.

So basically, because he’s bored with hambow and wants to explore something new, you’ve decided he’s a bad player and that his attitude is hurting the current state of the warrior? Well, he could be way stronger that you are, but that’s your right to think so.

To me, people who worsen the current state of the warrior are actually the whiners – all the self-righteous losers who cannot think of new solutions by themselves, who blindly follow the opinions expressed by forum trolls, who cry “nerf/OP” each time they get rekt by a class they’ve never tried playing.
