I’m working on a banner/shout warrior, and I was wondering how many +healing would be efficient or even noticeably beneficial going into dungeon explorer. My armor consists mainly of valkyrie and knight. I was thinking of maybe just putting healing gems to make the jump to a banner/shout warrior.

My question is would gems/runes be enough to help me efficiently heal an explorer’s dungeon? Do I even need +healing gear? I’m basically looking for a benchmark for the stat.

I’m using a warrior shout build with no healing gear what so ever. My shouts heal for around 1k @ 80 (but it depends on the down scaling) and they have saved my life more times then I can recall. IIRC you need a lot of healing to make any sort of significant difference. Also I found banners are more of a pain in dungeons when compared to shouts. Banners may heal more over a span of time, but the shouts bring a little more utility to a fight. Which I think, especially in these dungeons, is much much more important.

the numbers on regen for banners are misleading as it is over the lifetime of the banner. you’ll see something like 27k healing if you max healing, but in reality its about 200 hp a tick or something like that, which is pretty garbage when you’re taking real damage. also from what I experienced, they dont stack, so you cant just put down 4 banners and get 800hp a second regen…which actually would be pretty sweet

shouts are about 1k as generalbluebees said.

in any case you will never manage to outheal anything big hehe

I played around a bit with healing during the last beta.

Shouts at lvl 80 healed 1192ish with 0 points in Healing Power (“HP”) and 1990 with 998 points in HP.

Banners ticked for 130 health with 0 in HP and 255 with 998 in HP.

Healing Signet was 200 per tick with 0 and 233 with 998 points in HP.

Adrenal Health was not affected by HP and did 125 – 240 – 360 for the three stages of adrenaline.

I think they are more or less still accurate as I’m running most of these in my current build.

As for if the base is viable in dungeons, don’t know as I’ve only tried it in a few during story mode, but it did help quite a bit compared to a single heal every 20-30 seconds.

Yup, sounds exactly like my tests I’ve done. The conclusions is that Healing Power is essentially worthless on Warriors. Don’t bother. You are better off trading it for Toughness or Vitality in every circumstance.

That 998 pts in Vitality will give you +9,980 health, which would take a very long time to recover even when using all potential heals, and all without using a single utility or trait slot.

1192 vs 1990 for each shout means a lot, I won’t say +healing is wasted on a warrior if you are playing it as a support role… (and with 6 runes of the soldier, the shouts build is even better).
