healing help
I highly highly prefer shouts, banners take too long when your taking suprise damage.
i vote shouts too. go knights armor and at L80 with just 300 healing from the traits u gonna heal for 2430+ each shout. not shabby at all.

From an old GW2 Guru thread during the late days of Beta, the final verdict was that Shouts were the superior source of healing. While you could techincally squeeze a bit more healing out of Banners over a long period of time, this advantage disappears once people have any other source of +Regeneration.
% of +Healing that applies to Shouts: +70%
% of +Healing that applies to Banners: +100%
Seithan 2430 heal with knight armor? Its not posible. You need some cleric parts. i have cleric accesory + weapon and reach 2 k heal, formula for shout heal = 1200 + 0,8*heal power, so for 2430 heal u need full cleric set with healing rune.
Hellblade u can choose what u want or you can try both bacause its in same trait line and then decide. For shout healing you need some healing power, for banner healing power is not so important and you can put stats to forexample precision.
Iem for shouts
@Aurodus: I was wrong, its 1430×3 : about 4300 if u hit all of em at the same time.

I do use the should build, but im wondering if i should change my armor set to healing power.
I think that some healing power is always a good thing, what matters to me is not feeling that healing is a crutch for me to stand on.
I want to live without relying on my heal. I want to take some big blows and be okay without panicking because I have to heal immediately.
I agree with people here, a mix of knights and clerics armor is a smart move. Having a good mix of armor (direct dmg mitigation) and healing is what I am striving for.
well i was aiming to be more of a “support healer” to help other players low on health survive, such as dungeons or jormag’s ice attack.
i was thinking of doing something like this (cleric armor) or switch the shouts to banners.
I used same setup as you but dmg drop was too big for me so i swaped from knight armor with dwayna rune to soldier armor (pow/toug/vit) with strenght rune and with more vit from armor i could swap major trait skill Great Fortitude to Berserker’s Power for more dmg.
I still use cleric jewerly and weapons and shout heal is around 2k each. I lost 10% of healing but reach 30% of dmg.
The build I am running and have Ben running for a while now is 0/0/30/30/10. That’s with full knight armor from arah with dwayna runes and full cleric off pieces my shouts heal for about 2.6k each with bout 2.1k toughness and 3.4k armor so makes me more or less a support/tank now the Dmg is on the lower end for a warrior but from what I have gatherd it seems mobs will target the person with the highest armor that’s where the tank part of this build comes in. I can face tank just about any boss other then lupi of course but I never die on that fight unless I just sit there and eat a couple of volleys of aoe or sit in two bubbles in a row. Some people may think that isn’t a lot of healing but considering most class have between 11k to 18k hp in a good dips setup a burst heal of 8k is quit alot.
I run with healing shouts in full knight’s gear and it works out great for me. I don’t focus on healing power, but I’m not aiming for a real support build either. My shouts usually heal for around 1.1k each.
I tried banners and didn’t like them much. I’m too used to using shouts while I’m doing other things.
Edit: Running with a 15/25/0/30/0 trait distribution
2.6k is alot of healing per shout but that means making my warrior swinging a wet noodle. tbh its good support nevertheless
