It would probably work a lil better if you scrapped the condi gear. Crit damage is a lil low. 50% crit damage is where you see equal returns for running it at least that’s what I think the general consensus is could be wrong.
And then for runes you could probably run lyssa or melandru/lemongrass poultry.
I’m glad you clarified that this was WvW we are talking about here. To be honest in any 1v1 you should lose, not to say you can’t roflstomp complete noobs, but generally speaking we are disadvantaged from the word go. You’ll feel this imbalance even more against bunker Guardians/Elementalists/Rangers, you might get lucky with some terrible mesmers and thieves that run glass cannon and you can sink your teeth in before they start performing circus tricks around you. That said, thief and Mesmer have a very high potential and an average one will beat a skilled warrior everytime.
Tl;dr bunker up with pull PVT Soldier Runes w/shout or banner healing and hide with a group of people. You won’t keel over if you get focused and you’ll help the group through minor healing and AoE condition removal, maybe even some CC if you roll with Hamner.
Though on the other hand, you could go full zerker and pew pew Killshot distracted people. It really depends what it is you’re doing in WvW, if you’re going solo then I wish you the best of luck, I really do….
Oh and yes, avoid condition damage, our damage comes from power/precision/crit damage. If you’re speccing for damage then around 50-60% crit chance is good as we have many ways to boost this up to constant critical hits.
Last thing! Drop the Greatsword, only AFK people will die to that, in that case any other weapon could do the job as well.
