hey Wars what skill type you dont want?
I don’t want anything that has to do with pets. They’re meant for rangers as frontline support so they can engage at range. We don’t need that. Plus, I don’t want any for my warrior.
Besides pets and kits, venoms is the only other skill I can think. And lets face it we are probably getting pistols as some kind of condition pressure weapon so venoms would compliment that quite well. Still don’t want venoms though.
Just a thought what about mantras? mantras is just concentration similar to meditation so there doesn’t have to be any kind of magic involved.

I personally dont like the idea of Mantras in melee combat. Dont really play mesmer much. So cant confirm how successful that really is.
For the elite specialization, assuming no two classes get the same new skill type,
what skill type remaining that you dont want?
NO AI’s please, don’t ever suggest AI’s like spirit weapons or phantasms or anything like turret engi.
Survival makes sense. “Conjure” might make sense I think and Glyph. Kits somewhat doesn’t make sense but if they had the technology to integrate a 3rd weapon through that mechanic then so be it. Venom sounds decent. Gadget? Too many things that are already ruled out if they’re not using the same thing over and over.
Schwahrheit, #1 Fuhrer NA, Just your everyday typical rager
I would accept “AI” if it were implemented in a way that wasn’t terrible. I think Spirit Weps would have been cool if they were “attached” to your character and when you used their active they lunged forward then returned to your side.
I could see something like a Matra that summoned weapons next to you that get a certain number attacks before breaking. I like being the class that doesn’t depend on magic but I’m not opposed to us having a little. We kind of already do considering what Signets are lore wise and we probably use a little to set our arrows on fire.
I honestly have no idea what ANet has in store for us. I’m not opposed to anything so long as it’s implemented well. Hopefully it also raises the skill ceiling a bit.
Old Man Burr (War), Bad Hat Ben (Engi), Manly Manny Manson (Guard)

Nah. They actually do involve spells, so that’s a no no for a warrior. The skill types that I see a Warrior can take are either Elixir, Venom, (I would love that Skelk Venom for my tank build) and what I think would be the most possible is Dual Wield if we get either pistol, dagger, or both.
Anything save for elixirs, survival, or gadgets.
I dont want any type of AI, no mantras, no conjures/kits, etc. I want meditations, cantrips, spectrals, deceptions, or survivals :S
I don’t want conjures, kits, and pretty much anything from Thief except shadowstep.
Not stupid pets, or minions, or conjurations of anykind. No cheap gimmicks like the other classes have.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
AI or boring passive stuff, Warrior has enough of that already.

You do realize that those are basically random skills without any theme. Unlike, say, mantras. What you said basically means nothing at all.

Nope they have a theme they are mostly instant, strong, and part of the meta of each respective class :P
I would like to see something active that makes us more dangerous when we are affiliated with conditions. Example, getting vulnerability also grants you might, weakness grants you swiftness,, etc.

And confusion grants us quickness… or not (sorry couldn’t resist) I like your idea, it’s an interesting alternate option to condition conversion!
It’s between thief, mesmer or engi mmm no turrets, elixirs, mantras or glamours.
@Julie Yann There is too much boon generation already boon hate need to more common.

It wouldn’t be a passive effect. You would need to activated it and would get the effect for 5 to 10 seconds, 20 to 30 sec CD. You are still suffering from the condi so it’s not a cleanse or conversion. Would add some counter play to condi spam. Condi dealers would have to think twice before unloading their skill. Limit it to offensive boons so not protection, recently or aegis.

There is already enough counters to condi specs especially in AoE format,it doesn’t matter passive or not, they are adding resistance and making quickness a boon…,it hinders boon hate even more.

You are probably right. It’s just an idea and probably would work with the confines of the game as it is. I just think warriors should be become more dangerous as the fight progresses without all the passive play. I’ve been playing main warrior since launch cause I like the in your face brutish combat style but sadly we have been reduce you support roles and CC bots.

That’s what happens when the devs believe HP equals sustain and facetanking is good, I doubt they’ll improve war zerk specs without doing the same for shoutbow I’m worried of the HS nerf they need to be careful with balance.
