Hi Guys.

I Have been looking in to builds on the internet for PvE as a warrior.

As i love the condition damage the sword brings i originally looked in to finding a build that would utilise it. and i came across quite a good one.

however a few comments were at the bottom saying that the build is rather squishy without top end gear. which i don’t have.

so i looked in to support and found another decent build that looked promising consisting of utilising banners. i had an idea to combine the two. so long story short, i did and this is what i came up with.

personally i think it may be too varied which might not make it good at anything, but i just wanted a more experienced opinion before i flog the idea.
so i just want some feedback as to whether or not it would be viable to run this build in dungeons etc.

im new to the whole forum thing so forgive me if im not clear in what im asking. Any Feedback would be welcome.

Thanks in Advance guys XD

I think your banner/condition build for PvE isnt too bad, but i feel you need more anti condition stuff (and if u plan on using the dmg bonus from berserker’s power, know that it doesnt increase condition dmg). Also if you use berserker’s power it won’t be up often if you use flurry or combustion shot from the bow, where you can get more dmg by just putting 5 more points into arms to deal 10% more damage with basic attacks if the enemy is bleeding. Aside from that, most of it i guess is a very team supportive build and i think in PvE this would work well. Instead of using axe, i figure using horn and substituting shrug it off with quick breathing to remove conditions and apply buffs/debuff.

What i would change if i went your style of play, of course everything is up to you and how you want to play. PvE isnt too hard to play with almost any build. Try to have fun =D.

Yes I guessed that when you said ‘on the internet’.

The stats on this look low because no gear (it’s different in PvP so there was no point). You could use it with knight’s or berserker’s, or even the power/vitality/toughness stuff you get from karma vendors and AC. Bleeds will be all over the place, so I chose sigils to improve the warhorn and rifle’s respective debuffs.

Also in lower level areas (scaled down or otherwise) for some reason healing signet seems better than the other two, but they become better in high level areas. Weird scaling or something I guess. For most things I prefer healing surge, but if conditions become an issue even with the warhorn and shake it off, you can throw in mending instead.

EDIT: also I realize this isn’t 100% focused on condition damage, but it’s handy to have direct damage as well because bleeds hit the cap very easily with even two players using them I find.

as already mentioned; cond removal would be good (id swap out FGJ for shake it off, cond removal and stun break), also; flurry is really good on a cond build… you may want to rethink your trait/healing skill choice

Desolation: 80 ranger [Nightwither], 80 necro [Dusk Grimsoul]
80 warr [Blaze Steelsoul], 80 ele [Blaze Nightstrike], 80 mesmer [Grim Shatterwhirl]
80 guard [Dusk Grimlight], 80 engi [Flintgear]
