Warriors are in a good spot in the meta now. Your build is actually more annoying to play against.
If anything we are seing the cheesy evasion/dodge spam of thieves.

Stunlock Warrior with that regen is cray cray got chased across the map by some sub30 warrior named Euro hero, and after like a day of kiting he was still at full hp.
In before we get another thread moved to the Warrior Forum where all the pve heros are ready with their L2PADAPTNOOBL2P shut down arguments.

Not only is no thief really using that weapon combination or those utilities, he’s also not using the 10/30/0/30/0 build you mention.
another example although Caed win . . . cuz hes really good and skillful thief look how he’s doin and pushing thieves ability to the limit and doin so much effort trying twice harder than to this Ranger which hes just sitting in his Spirits with his 3k armor and insane heals and Condi dmg (burn on hit and protection spirit) and if Caed didn’t kite too much and hiding behind pillars he will probably lose. look how thieves can’t stand to these kind of meta bunker/Condi so tell if this is balance?
no way thieves can compete anymore we receieved too much Nerfs. these new Bunker/Max Condi build Metas are overpowered. i think i shud try mesmer and engi soon… or gonna take a break using thief im so disappointed just created Incinerator for my thief
maybe a good warrior build for 1 vs 1 but not for hotjoin/tpvp

i tried em too feels like im dueling with some Champion in curse shore, too tanky but still their Dmg is strong and lots of stuns i mean Stun LOCK!
You can easily look it up or better yet test it yourself in the mist.
A max healing power build would have 1558 HP. (30 points in defense AND tactics, Cleric Amulet+Jewel, Healing Power runes, Banner of Tactics up)
That equals:
470 hps for the healing signet
325 hps for regen
and max of 195 hps through adrenal health (585 every 3 seconds)
altogether that makes 990 hps not 1,2k.
If you sat on 3 bars of adrenaline (which your opponent wasn’t) to gain this max hps constantly, you would die because neither can you pressure your opponent nor can you cleanse as many conditions as you need to.
Judging by the bleed damage you received and the weapon he was using your opponent most likely ran a shaman amulet and not a cleric. With a Shaman Amulet and Jewel and the above setup, its 909,33 hps (452+280+532/3) at full adrenaline. Hardly 1,2k.
And this is still in total disregard of the fact that he actually used combustive shot and flurry all the time, wiping his adrenaline in the process and thus lowering his effective hps.
Even if you throw the Sigil of Leeching he was using (847 every 10s at best) and a heal with the banner #2 skill EVERY 10s for 919 Hp into the equation you won’t get to your 1,2k especially not on the setup he was running.
The way I see it. You were outplayed by a condi bunker build in a drawn out 1v1 fair and square. Bring lots of poison (especially when he’s on bow), burst him when he’s poisoned and don’t attack when retaliation is up or steal it (like you did) and he will have more trouble.
But please don’t spread false information because you lost and think that’s unfair.

pretty sure he was referring to his little story about kiting a warrior around all day that never died.
Longbow+hammer/gs become one of the most broken builds currently. Due to longbow nearly unlimited condi remove and with hammer = extrem cc (in teamfights without stunbreaker you are 100% dead) , greatsword = extremly high damage output.
I think it will still take some time until people realise that warrior is not “balanced” but broken (at least in this current meta, where anet shifted almost every single stunbreaker to useless skills).

He has at least 15 points in acrobatics because he recovers endurance after each dodge, he seems to recover initiative after some critical hits which suggests at least 15 into critical strikes, at 0:32 he recovered ini using a a signet which is VIII in critical strikes. BUT at 0:42 he didnt heal using steal and recovered initiative instead, which means his last 10 points are probably into trickery instead of deadly arts.
At 3:37 you can also see a 2.2k larcenous strike hit which suggests +20% dmg under 50% health. It’ s not the exact same build but mantains the same core.
Also, no thief using that weapon combination ? Ok sometimes thieves go d/p to brutalize necromancers but sword/dagger still stands as the strongest 1v1 thief build right now. Where have you been all this time when people complained about larcenous strike brokeness like no tomorrow ? Anet even nerfed that freaking thing (same patch that reduced dhum fire from 4 seconds to 2 seconds) and it is still the strongest land weapon skill in the game. If you genuinely think that no thief uses that weapon set you are either trolling or unexperienced. (although i often see shadow refuge used instead of rolling for ini)

X/30/30/X/X and you will destroy said warrior, also… Why are you not using poison? That will decrease his uber healing by 33%…
Switch to Shortbow, use poison, switch to sword and use cloak and dagger and stealth and tactical strike and ‘1’ and then steal his boons when you need too

- He’s not using Pain Response, which practically 90% of the S/D thieves use since the necromancer changes and which would have come quite handy here as well
- He’s using RFI, Infiltrator’s and Agility. Most thieves will either run with Shadowstep, Refuge (or both) and the Assassin’s Signet (and Infiltrator’s Signet, if they don’t run with Shadowstep for the stun break), as that’s the most effective set of utilities
- He’s using Energy sigils, when 95% of the S/D builds out there are either using Fire or Air for the extra punch
So basically out of 7 traits that the meta 10/30/0/30/0 build you mentioned uses, he’s running 5 and not even the same trait or stat distribution (and I am being generous, because most S/D thieves have also dropped Signet Use by now).
Out of 2 preferred weapon sets, he’s only using one that we see in a S/D build nowadays and out of the 3 preferred utilities, he’s also only using 1. Furthermore he’s using different sigils.
It’s a completely different build basically.

I played against a stunlock warrior from my guild yesterday, and I don’t want them nerfed. They’re strong, but fun to play against and you can beat them if you grind them down enough.
I think we should nerf mesmers though, because what’s a class update without a mesmer nerf?

you’re 95% correct…. my sets of weapons are Sword (force sigil) / Dagger (energy sigil) and on other set no mainhand and just Dagger( energy sigil) i used force instead of fire or air cuz the cooldown of energy sigil shares with these fire/ air sigils.

tanky phantasm mesmers using soldier trinket(power,tough,vit) are insane in duels. cuz even if they hav 4% critical chance they can still do lots of crit cuz they hav this fury on phantasm traits and signet of illusion makes phantasm more HP. so basically their utlities are Decoy, Signet of illusion, Blink. but i don’t think these phantasm will last long in team clash. shatter mesmer will do its job in team clash though. and needs skill

I thought the “not seen playing that weapon set” came from a non-thief player who was surprised about the sword/dagger combination, not from a thief player who already analized the build better than i did.

Yeah… He’s honestly not. He’s just another kid making videos of himself playing what is, IMO, a completely debunked build and hoping to show himself to be some kind of superior player. I’ve even called him out on it in the past, only to be shunned by the thief community because apparently the only reason I thought he was bad was his build, which of course isn’t true.
Against good opponents, this kind of playstyle would be wrecked completely.
