Hello fellow face smashers!!! Wanted to start a thread on something that’s been on my mind whilst doing high level 20+ fractals and dungeons. I have a p/v/t warrior with exotics and ascended rings with some power Pres crit dmg gear running healing shouts. I have found from testing by doing the typical zerker GS I seem to get more aggro then if I was the top toughness (even with other heavies running toughness) than with highest toughness. As a matter of fact I cannot pull aggro if I tried whilst running the “tank” warrior. I realize there are many angles to what could cause this but I wanted to share and see what you guys have been dealing with. Is is absolute fact that toughness gets aggro? Because I am seeing differently. Thanks warrior community as I have found so much help since my beginnings as a warrior.

Both Toughness/Armor and damage dealt affects aggro as well as proximity to the target. As such, a ’zerker Warrior will draw a lot of aggro because:

1) Warriors naturally high Armor in comparison to other classes, so even glass cannon Warriors will draw more aggro than glass cannon anything, except Guardian.
2) Dealing high melee damage also attracts a lot of aggro due to both the damage itself, as well as being close to the enemy.

I have 2200+ toughness and I can tell I have the aggro almost all the time… BUT if someone else started the fight and the mob is already at 50% its hard to steal aggro.

Toughness > Damage for aggro

So my guess is that you run with other dps players most of the time.

I too have 2200+ toughness and have aggro almost all the time as well.

When i rock my beserker set, except for aoe’s, i hardly get focused at all.
