which is better for pve?axe/mace or axe/shield? and whats the current meta for wvw? is it still axe/mace+ gs or did it change

o.O when was wvw meta ever axe/mace+gs?

There is a meta for WvW? waaaAAA?

I use whatever I feel like using.

If I am defending objectives: LB/Hammer
If I am small group roaming: Hammer/GS
If I am solo Roaming: Hammer/GS or S/S + M/Sh
If I am small group seige breaking: GS/LB

(GS is just for mobility in majority of situations)

For PvE I tend to use GS/Hammer for general purpose, and LB/GS for anything involving champs and world-bosses

PvE:
Dungeons – Axe/Mace + Greatsword w/ Furious Greatsword to self stack might+Vuln in PuGs.
Open World Events – Longbow and a good book.
