I have been working on GS alternative builds. Because the unblockable signet might has so much untapped potential, I think a build centered around Arms line instead of the strength line could be very potent.
Here is what I am testing currently.

A couple things you may notice initially:
1) This is not your typical Kpop power damage build
2) It is designed to be in the bruiser category
3)Paladin amulet, scrapper runes. This is about 25% incoming damage reduction vs marauder amulet while only losing about 20% outgoing damage.
4) This build is more for team fighting than in skirmishes that I usually like.

Things I am still testing in this build:
1) Sigil combination. I like the spike damage on weapon swap after I stun. Hence the overload on the leech and hydromancy.
For the mace set, stun duration makes skull crack up to 4 seconds, seemed like a no brainer. Currently trying super speed on the mace set for swiftness.
2)Arms grandmaster- currently testing attack speed increase, I think burst precision is not as useful since these bursts don’t scale in damage.
Furious was not bad for generating extra adrenaline. But I felt like I was not fully able to utilize the trait.
3) Cleansing ire I was using for the adrenal gain mainly. The other two traits could easily fit here.

4) Alternative to this would be the Valkarie amulet. Swap Arms middle to unsuspecting foe, profit for the bigger crits. Adjust sigils for crit as well.

Results so far:

Mobility is not an issue without gs. As long as you use the sword 2 properly.
Sig of might is nice when my target hits 50% but at times I wish I could proc it myself. When it is active though, it can mess up revs and mesmers.

Cons seems to be very weak to stability. I was looking for an anti engineer build. Had some engi 1v1s yesterday, this still does not do it. Too much stability uptime. However, I was able to last much longer in the fight given the damage reduction.
Requires damage from a second source to kill a target.
I was using it to mainly stun elementalists while the team was killing another target. Potential is here.

Pros:
Still a power build, has 2225 power and 54% crit chance.
Single target cc is very strong. Combo from Defektive a few years back.

Skull crack- weapon swap- auto attack x3- final thrust- auto x1- tremor- auto attack x2- weapon swap- shield bash- mace auto attack- skull crack again.
By the second skull crack if all the hits connect, you have generated 20 adrenaline again. so the next skull crack is 2.5 seconds.
Total stun time is about 10 seconds.

There is some slight combo changes if you are not using dual wielding. I think it is 1 less auto attack after final thrust.

I like it, I’ll try anything once, except sushi. Gross.

Build works well against elementalist, necromancers, and Druids. Even having success against condition mesmers.
Still looking for that magic against scrapper and revenant. Scrapper boon uptime is too great for this build. And those 2 stacks of rev stability from dodging pretty much stops this build.

But glad to see something that can at least fight a portion of the top field.
