I’ve heard mutiple people say that the trait Empower Allies is no longer considerd ’’good’’. The reason for this would be that personal damage is better than giving the group more power.

Can someone plz help me understand this? Beceause imo 150 power is quite alot! And its not just 150 power for you but for your entire party of 5 people too.

With banner of strength being the most used banner, a banner which also gives power, i wonder why this trait is no longer loved?

Banner of Strength give you 170 power and only replace a utility skill. Empower Allies need that you give up too much in term of personnal dps in trait.

A build with Empower Allies give up about 20% in personnal dps, which is more dps lost than the 150 power for the whole group. But the different in total party dps is not that big and this is for good dungeon group where you can max your buff like might and have ascended stuff. At this point, your power is around 3,5-4k, making 150 power not that huge of a deal. In more normal party, where you have about 2-2.5k, 150 can make a bigger difference, making it more useful.

Becouse it was an Adept Trait, now is on Master line, less accessible. A way to use this trait is with the Phalanax Build (give might whenever you get). Otherwise, it is not worth to lose DPS. Also this build might be viable only on PUGs.

Sorry for my english.

Empower Allies is very strong but is not taken often (except in PvE PUG team builds, as well as typically built for Phalanx Strength) because it is not in a popular spot in a popular trait line.

TL;DR Warriors do not have the trait points to throw into Tactics because they are needed for Adrenaline traits in other lines.

The only time you should really bother with EA is for phalanx strength honestly. It just makes it much simpler if the warrior has the fast hands minor trait, as it makes it significantly easier for the warrior to have a comfortable rotation between GS and axe+X

X being either mace, sword, warhorn, or whatever.

For PvE Empower allies is standard in the Pug-Carrier (stacking-dungeons) build.

4/4/0/6/0 (Which is based around GS entirely, no swaps, sometimes a LB )

It’s a simple build using the greatsword might on hit and the phalanx trait.

generally ppl run
III,IX; (great fortitiude (vitality), slashing power (+10% GS dmg)
V,X; Rending strikes (vunerability), forceful GS (might on hit)
V,VIII,XIII inspiring banners, empower allies, phalanx strength.

skills normally are HS, SoM, BoS, FGJ, SoR weaposn tend to ge GS (seems to obvious) and LB (for 6- 9 might through firefield+blast and banner+banner 5) but without the bow you’ll easily get 25 might when fighting 2 or more enemies… Sigil of strength guarantees 25 might vs Single targets

This build is used to buff others with might if people are to lazy or the party is unable to stack might.

For a total of 875+150+170 power and 875+170 condition dmg.
(=1195 power, 1045 condi dmg)

As you need 6 pts in the tactics line this is actually a good synergy.

23 lvl 80’s, 9 times map, 4ele, 4ncr, 3war, 3grd, 3rgr, 2thf, 2msm, 1eng, 1 rev.
Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.

Logged in just to say that’s super inefficient for PS, PaxTheGreatOne…

It looks like you’re trying to better your personal DPS as well as having PS and obviously having better DPS is ideal, but honestly there’s no way around it— if you have any trait points outside of the strength/arms/discipline trees your damage will blow kitten , and big time.

When it comes to PS, you want to make the best out of it that you can and to do so you’re going to want to a) make sure you are really providing capped might, and b) contribute an equivalent amount of vulnerability to bosses that you would have with your max DPS setup. Warrior DPS even in their optimal conditions is still lower than what other classes tend to get, so being 4 in strength + arms is pretty worthless. You have no fast hands trait, meaning you can’t weapon swap without huge problems (once you off of GS you’d quickly tank in might because 10 seconds is a longgg time).

The best PS build is 05063 because you’re able to swap to axe/mace when 100b+wwa+rush are on cooldown. This way you’ll not only be capping the group’s might, but you’ll also be contributing as much vuln as you can (quite a nice amount due to mace offhand buff).

Also GS + LB is a really bad idea in group PvE, for phalanx strength builds also. It’s fine for things like world bosses but if you’re in a dungeon you’re going to have excruciatingly low DPS with longbow out. There’s very few exceptions where you should opt for longbow in groups and most involve utility of some sort (i.e. immobilising legendary shoggroth in Arah P1).
