sPvP Warrior - Build Help
Your current build seems pretty bad from a 100b standpoint and from a mobility standpoint. None of your trait choices seems to reinforce either function. I would drop Dolyak Signet for Balanced Stance – then drop Healing Signet for either of the other two heals. Also your 12% adrenaline dmg trait is wasted if you use sword F1 → 100b… something to think about. Anyway moving on, -30 Defense lets you go +10 in Strength for the 10% greatsword trait, +15 in Arms for faster greatsword cooldowns AND 10% dmg to bleeding foes, and +5 to Discipline for Mobile Strikes.
That should boost your damage quite a bit, and make you able to move around much more freely especially with careful use of Balanced Stance. You only really lose toughness and a tiny amount of regen, both useless when focused by 3+ people (i.e. almost always, since people focus warriors since they’re easy kills).
All that said, I wouldn’t recommend a 100b build in the end, it’s so easy to avoid and even if you catch somebody unaware, you still have to contend with Bull’s Charge bugging out or sword F1 bugging out. I’d recommend trying out 30 tactics for regen banners (just need the crit banner, keep signet of rage), 15 defense for adrenal health, THEN your healing signet will have some meaningful effect. Then spend the rest of your trait points on whatever weapons are your favorite / abilities that synergize to your playstyle.
- No Condition Removal (Conditions are Warrior’s biggest weakness imo).
- Only one true stun break (Last Stand trait). Frenzy’s gonna’ be used for offensive reasons and Dolyak Signet can’t be casted while stunned. Last Stand has a minute and a half cooldown.
- Healing Signet has the lowest burst heal. No Signet Mastery makes this even worse. Not enough investment in Healing attribute makes this skill subpar.
- You wanted mobility yet you didn’t take Mobile Strikes and you have no Condition Removal. What will you do when you get immobilized?
- Superior Sigil of Fire isn’t as great as you think, especially with your build imo.

You can swap sword for axe, and that 10 in tactics can go into the discipline or arms and getting the rally on vengeance or quickness at 25%.
Runes are up to you. Hoelbrak is the best balance I’ve found.

Um, no. Ignore these builds. FGJ and Shake it Off are absolutely terrible for PvP. Frenzy is required for any sort of burst, and so is bulls charge/bola.
And runes of divinity haven’t been a thing since beta.
As for condition removal, you sacrifice too much survivability and damage to get any meaningful amount, and even then it’s not often enough to be worth it. At most you can take signet of stamina or mending. Even then, signet of stamina is a 40+ second CD, and mending is 3k less healing and no adrenaline than Healing Surge. You’re going to be weak to conditions and immobile regardless of what you do, assuming you want to do any amount of damage.

I appreciate all your reponses and I haven’t had the time to read all of it and go through all of the suggest specs provided. At work atm and busy :p
What I can repsond to is, yes I am using divinity atm.
I have sword #2, GS #5 and #3, shield #4 all for mobility… Combined with swiftness from signet of rage and you can get some good distance with the combo of these skills.
People get owned by 100b all the time. You just need to immo them or stun them first. I really like using HB for my main dps skill. I didn’t play from beta so HB is still fun for me :p
I chose dolyak signet because I felt like I needed to be more bunkerish. I don’t even really use the active. With dolyak signet I feel like most people tickle me… I was running bolas before, but then I discovered I could use sword adrenaline skill to apply root (which is more reliable than bolas). Bolas missing a lot for me, sword never does.
Conditions are definitely my worst enemy. Necros/Mesmers mainly. Thieves are insta gib once their stun break is down. Even if they are condition.
I always used Golradaer’s version of the 100b build:
Good mobility and good 100b burst. Note the use of mending for condition removal. You are definitely vulernable to conditions in a 100b build – there’s no way around that without gimping the dmg of the build which is really the focus.
I haven’t played 100b build in a while though, I have been thoroughly enjoying Defektives hammer build.
Thanks. I didn’t get a chance to try any of these out last night because I had to do all my daily’s. Got some crappy non-infused ring.
I like some of these suggestions. I’ll definitely be trying em out when I get a chance.
Larynx’s post is pretty much what most of the good 100b warrs run. Some prefer endure pain over balanced stance, sword or mace over axe. I prefer Ogre runes myself, fire on GS and rage+bloodlust on sword+shield.
Oreoginal’s builds won’t work in practice, shouts are useless in spvp. Warr doesn’t need that condition removal in a team setting, although signet of stamina is good for it’s extra endurance regen. The added condiremoval honestly doesn’t make a huge difference in survivability, but a bigger burst will make a difference in teamfights.
If you’re only interested in messing some stuff up in hotjoin, I’d rather suggest going axe+mace/sword or mace+shield and soldier amu. Not tourna viable, but tons of fun in hotjoin.
