Hello fellow Shield bearer’s

I have made a post in the suggestion forum for a new mechanic and playstyle for the shield but rather then just copy & paste into a new forum section im going to put the link here. This way i feel all 3 of us Warrior, Guardians and Engineer can talk it over and really improve on this idea .

I would really like to get this going as i feel this would be a very enjoyable playstyle.

This page could/should be used to talk over what the warrior could stand to gain from the idea in the main link aswell as possible traits and uses for the idea.

One possible idea is a trait that will after to many hits to the shield use a stomp like effect and send all enimies flying back

so no dodge and instead we have a block on our dodge key?

I think this would make me stop using a shield. Dodge is too key to every aspect of this game, without it we would die. There are things you absolutely need dodge for.

Example : Mob fires a large red circle AoE that hits the ground and ticks a DoT on you. (like the warrior longbow f1). It lasts longer than your dodge immunity, but it doesn’t matter because your dodge has moved you outside the ring. If we instead blocked, we would be immune for a few seconds, and then be on fire.

yeah i thought about this before and either still allow dodge on the double tap(that seems a bit op to even me lol) or allow a adept level trait turn your shield into a block shield.

As a example, they could add the block shield feature to the block = 1sec burn trait for the gurdian

But the last thing i wanna do is mess with other people’s playstyle just cause i thought this was a neat idea but in saying that i really do think it is a good idea and the new playstyle i invision would be one that i think many would take to.
