tank warrior question
which part of the game?
early game non level 80 open world PvE ?
end game level 80 open world PvE ?
WvW?
sPvP?
Im 80 with 26kish hp. I am using him for dungeons and fractuals right now. At some point I want to try him out wvw.
I have enough for a couple of ascended pieces and didn’t know if I should add some healing or keep going vit/toughness
My focus is surviving. I didn’t know if its a better choice to keep all gear vit/toughnes based or get assessories based in healing/toughness for a warrior?
thanks

You can’t tank in this game.
Man up, give up the survivability gear, and spec for full damage.

You can’t tank in this game.
It depends on how you describe tank.
With the right build played perfectly, you can mitigate and absorb a lot of damage and thus, you become extremely hard to put down.
It is certainly not optimal, mainly because this game is heavily oriented on offense with almost no point to focus on defense. But it can be done !
Acceptation with others is another topic through
But killing might not be the purpose of every players! I do admit that sometimes, I like running into a tough battle in WWW and survive a very long time while everything dies around me. My main concern is how I can survive while still doing something usefull.
I will never follow the crowd that tell me to play zerk and play with a GS.
Even if at times, I like to play glass-canon, I definitly prefer to play what I like to, with no regard to efficiency.
please don’t run a ‘tank’ build in fractals, there’s almost no reason for it, some arguments can be made for soldier’s in some cases, but soldier’s is as tanky as a warr should go
if you’re set on the idea of it though, i’d maybe do like soldier’s gear, Axe/Sword, 2/6/6/0/0 and utility slot Endure Pain and run Mango Pie food
that’s maybe the best you’re going to do for a “tank” build without getting auto-kicked for being basically AFK, but that’s grotesque overkill for pretty much all game content
Build what you want, just be ready to face the consequences. Pugs won’t like you, so it would be best to find other casual players who enjoy the things you enjoy.
However on the subject of tanky, if you don’t want to bring a large amount of healing I would look into weapons that have blocking abilities/hard cc. I would personally say you should have either toughness or vitality with healing power and an offensive stat if you’re not planning to be a cc machine with no damage, as healing is just too good if you can avoid poison, but with the right positioning and well timed blocks/stuns you should do fine with low healing.
