This trait makes zero sense in the context of vanilla warrior. But suddenly it is amazing. Sword torch, leap and get 10 second fire aura. They should have just given warrior a good grandmaster.

“Kentigem”-chief. Born cycle of Dusk. Wyld Hunt:
Learn as much mending and medical info as possible so that it can be added to the Dream.
Become the first Chief of Mending and guide the newly awaken as well as those who want to learn.

Fire field + Leap = Fire Shield

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fire_Shield_ says it does not stack.

Question is do we get 10 second fire shield or 5 second fire shield is replenished having it activated twice without stacking?

they fixed it.
we get 10 seconds aura (fire, frost, light, chaos etc) with powerful synergy.

still does not justify it being a grandmaster tactics trait.

So let me get this straight, Sword torch, leap and get 10 second fire aura, then do the datamined AoE taunt thing to spread Burning and gain Might. Assuming Flames of War firefield does not dissipate on weapon swap, we can go Eviscerate on axe for another fire aura. Did I get this right?

That may be it or maybe the developpers designed this trait for group play instead of solo bragging.

No core profession should be balanced around an optional elite specialization.
