Guild Wars 2

Title says it all. I’m not sure if the sounds got changed recently or I just never noticed before but every time I play my warrior and jump around I sound like I’m carrying a bag full of frying pans and other kitchen supplies. It doesn’t sound warrior-ish or heroic at all. If my warrior was a female I bet I would sound like a housewife.

I actually like the sound of the armor when I’m running and jumping

It started with the latest patch, and indeed it’s horrible.

Remember that you are wearing metal plate armor. For me that sounds are really cool

i feel though that there was a similar sound before, metal sound, but it sounded just better, not sure how to explain it because I frankly don’t remember it

I love how my warrior sounds!!!

Dude this is the first game that gives realistic sounds to armor, is one of the best improvements I seen in a game. Well aside from plate looking like plate and not like a latex suit “WoW” or a porn star suit “Other mmos”. Looks + sound bring to life the wonders of adventuring in Gw2.

Speaking of frying pans. I wouldn’t mind having one that functions as a mace… i’d like to fry up some asuras (even though I’m asura)

As long as the sound is only there when I’m wearing at least the chest AND leggings, I’m fine with it. It wouldn’t make sense if you were wearing town clothes or were naked from broken armor.

The sound they added is like a bad MIDI, playing over and over whatever the situation is. Sometimes I would just run down a hill and it would make the same sound as if I were jumping repeatedly in one place.
As someone said, I love the fact that we are covered with a real plate-looking armor (except for the “nipples showing” Norn cultural armor, what the hell is wrong with these people), but that sound is just so cheap it makes me want to cry.

Here I thought I used orichalcum to craft my armor, when it fact it was some cheap metal coming from a frying pan.

Some frying pans are coated in titanium. Maybe it’s not as cheap as you think…

I didn’t realize jumping around was warrior-ish/heroic. I guess I’ll have to add frolicking to my gladiatorial training.
