i am trying to decide with combo suites warrior best for quick 1 vs 1’s in wvw also

i hear GS build with power/vitailty/toghuness like running with 27k hp 3k power and 4% lol crit chance and crit power

does there is more lethal specs like 2 axes or ranged maybe that can be really good for 1 vs 1 ?

thats the beauty of GW… there is no best spec!

so like 24k hp 2000 toguness and 2800 power and 50% crit and GS?

What do YOU enjoy more? There is no “best” spec. Pick what works best for you. Everyone plays differently.

Lots of people say shouts are far superior to Banner’s, yet I struggle to find a shout build to be even remotely enjoyable.

If having an optimal spec is what you find enjoyable, then go Greatsword and 4-5 Signets traited for Deep Strike. Boring as kitten, but produces big numbers.

This is the build I’ve been using for WvW (still on lvl 68, so some traits aren’t full yet). It has great survivability and allows me to be of great support to the team, reviving players in heavy zerged areas and keeping the attention of the enemy while the heavy hitters take their health down.

1v1 also works really well with this build, it just takes longer to kill the foe, but they can never get my health down as I always out heal and have my warhorn for condition removal and condition swap (with the trait).

I need to tweak a few things still to find the sweet spot of the build, but it is working great for me and my play style and a good starting point.

I think he’s just looking for stat priorities, as he’s already resigned himself to the 1-Dimensional Blades build.

If you want quick 1v1s, max on Power/Precision/Crit Damage. The fight will be over quickly, whether you kill them or they kill you.

GS + signet may get you a lot of kills in sPvP but the problem with it in WvW is zerg vs. zerg and the large amount of time spent on standoffs and keep siege/defense. Tanks (and I use that term very loosely when it comes to us) get focus fired and downed in 3 seconds if they cross the invisible line during standoffs, probably in less time if you are GS/signet spec, and unlike in other games there is no force in this game that can keep them alive/healed.

On the other hand it may work if you like to run small-man groups with friends and do guerrilla warfare with yaks and supply camps

Wut? I’ve never used Frenzy in any of my PvP builds since BWE1. I stopped using Bola after day one because it misses more often than not (Longbow has a much more reliable root). I do use Bullrush however.

That said, there isn’t any “musts”. In WvW, you have to use ranged more often than not. Only engage in melee when your force pushes into there’s. During a standoff, you don’t want to be that one guy who crosses the line unless you’re certain your team will push.

Fun fact: I’m level 61, and don’t even have Frenzy unlocked yet. Don’t even want it.

and what is best spec atm to solo farm as warrior atleast packs of 4-5 mobs

Yesterday I was playing in a small group defending camps etc, we had a Hammer warrior with us, and the extra aoe control was crazy!

Every warrior and his mother is a Gs warrior ( myself included ) but i would love to make a set for hammer in WvW and just be annoying as possible.
